Katrina’s POV

I didn't spare him a glance as his words washed over me, instead I went ahead to open the door and exit the room, my heart beating too fast and in fear as I strolled down the hallway to the staircase.

My fingers unconsciously went to my necklace, an action I noted I had been doing often since I started to wear it as a constant ornament I never dared to remove.

“What did he mean by he sees me for me?” I murmured in question to myself as I ascended the steps to the last floor wheere my room was located.

Arriving at the room, my eyes darted to the end of the hall where the king’s chamber was located, my mind immediately flashing to our make out session.

Shaking my head in a bid to rid it off the intrusive thoughts, I didn't notice Maddy approach till someone poked me. “Are you okay there Miss?”

“Oh my heavens,” I clamored in fear and surprise, my palm flying to my chest in shock as I whirled to spot the culprit. “Maddy?”

“Good evening Miss,” she greeted in her cute voice, “

  • Bound to the Alpha’s will   Chapter 34: Introductions

Katrina’s POVIt was a Thursday, some days after the incident with King Davos at the library. I was intentionally evading him after that and it was noticed by everyone.A necessary measure I had to take thus it came off as I couldn't trust my brain and body around him. I had even made myself a prisoner by staying in my room hence I wanted to dispel any chance of us making any physical contact with each other.I had ordered Maddy to get me the necessary books from the library and I studied them in my room, having meals there too while doing every other thing I needed to do.Ariana had barged into my room earlier that afternoon saying she was tired of me hiding from the world. All my lies and excuses fell on deaf ears as she was having none of it.I even went ahead as telling her the truth because she was partly pissed I didn't reveal what went on with Davos and I that evening we were having cookies. The truth however didn't work. Instead it fueled her actions and I was dragged out of m

Katrina’s POV“What are you ladies discussing about?” Mathew asked as he came into the room, dressed in a two piece shirt and slacks of matching black and white pattern.“And laughing about,” Davos added as he strutted behind Mathew, hair disheveled and the top buttons of his white shirt undone, his left palm in the pocket of his brown slacks while his right rubbed his jaw.“Nothing really just some ladies time,” Valencia informed, shifting the cushion for Mathew to settle in the couch to her right.“Care to share the cause?” Mathew interrogated as he got settled.“Like I said,” she stretched the baby in her arms to him and he collected the child from her hold. “Ladies talk.”“Where’s Steven?” Ariana questioned in a frown as no other person followed them inside, Davos kicking the barrier shut with his foot.Mathew shrugged in reply to his sister while Davos lifted a brow as if he too wondered the same thing. He strolled to where I sat and out of courtesy I rose to standing position an

Katrina’s POVI gulped at his words and endured whatever feelings our proximity was stirring in me, feelings I never felt even with that bastard who rejected me as his mate.Only the thought of him made me feel furious, sad and depressed all at once. The memories of the pain, detachment and loneliness with the maltreatment I had faced all rushing back.It was a horror I never wished on anyone, not even my worst enemy, or even Amanda who was the main cause of all the madness I had been through.Shaking my head, I once again tried to rid it off the gloomy memories and thoughts that always threatened to consume me at every little chance. It was all in the past and I prayed silently in my heart everyday I never get to relive that.In this pack and Kingdom I was brought to, I felt peace and a sense of calm around me. I knew I wasn't loved and everybody may seem to be pretending however in the little time I had spent, I never saw a reason to get my guard and walls up.More days had gone by

Katrina’s POVI sat up at the information being passed to me and picked up my pen, ready to take notes. Thomas noted this and smiled at me, his face becoming serious as he went on to say. “This is inside information just so you know.”“Oh,” I murmured and dropped the pen.“No, go ahead,” Leor an elder who sat beside me urged as he noticed me retreat my hands from the desk.“I thought it was inside information and so I shouln—”“The King asked us to include it in your classes,” Thomas explained, cutting off my utterance. “Oh,” I let out and bobbed my head in acknowledgement of his statement. The rest of the class I paid close attention, my brain grabbing whatever information it could as Thomas and the other elders took turns in coming to stand close to the board, each giving me knowledge from their experiences and those passed down to them.Hours went by and in between I felt someone staring at me as usual from my right. However I couldn't see him fully, on the other hand, I could obs

Katrina’s POVHe had advised me not to run, however I couldn't stop myself from taking to my heels and I rushing out of his office when he retrieved his palms from the desk.I could hear his soft chuckles follow after me and for some moments I was scared and at the same time excited at the thought that he may be coming behind me.Despite my mixed feelings, I didn't stop my sprint to check if my thoughts were correct as I frantically gripped the door handle, pulled it open and exited the space, appearing in the hallway of the bottom floor of the castle. My heartbeat didn't slow regardless of the fact as I was no longer close to him, instead the adrenaline in my veins made it beat faster and my breath hitch from the series of emotions I was feeling in that moment. Before I could get noticed by the numerous servants strolling around the castle and attending to their various duties, I traced my footsteps to the staircase and dragged my weight upwards to my room.“Are you okay Miss?” Maddy

Katrina’s POV“Easy there tiger,” Steven’s voice reached me with a chuckle, pulling me out of angry state. I halted my movements, my breath coming out in short pants as he came to stand behind me.I frowned at his movements and he noticed, his smile spreading as he said in my ear. “Calm down Trina.”“You asked us to picture our opponent and that is what I was doing,” I felt the need to say, hoping he’d take a step back, not liking our closeness.“I’m not talking about that,” he murmured, standing barely inches away from me, any action of our bodies would have our skins brushing in the most inappropriate way.“Then what are you talking about?” I questioned, my voice coming off as polite but my tone higher, hoping someone would catch on, maybe Arianna hence the two happened to be seeing each other.Nonetheless my plan didn't work as everyone appeared to be in serious mode, throwing punches and kicks in the air, the smell of sweat and the sounds of grunts and hissed out curse words filli

Katrina’s POVAfter my alteration with Steven that day, he had given me a break and a chance to breath comfortably by not approaching me in any manner not to talk of touching me inappropriately. He was even scarce at the training grounds and whenever he was present he didn't decide to be the trainer and one time he was appointed to be one, he declined with humor and muttered some excuse which I didn't remember. It sounded convincing to the other pack members and even to Thomas who was mostly around to supervise the training activities. However to me I knew it must have been my hostility towards him as he had said through his own lips. For the past 2 days it was Alpha Davos who had taken up training to everyone’s horror and it was at that point I knew something must have gone wrong or it must have been the reason for Steven’s distance. As for the eyes I felt on me the previous day, I still hadn't figured out who it was hence I didn't still see no one when I returned to the castle and m

Katrina’s POVI gulped as I reread the words for the second time, my vision switching between the note I had lifted close to my face and the box which laid untouched on the mattress. For about a minute, I sat there, pondering on what the box may contain. My fear had disappeared after I read the note hence it clearly stated that I would thank him and not curse him out or end up dead.‘He may be playing tricks on you,’ my subconscious warned and I thought about it before dispersing the thought, having no idea where the confidence and trust I had in him came from as I said the words “He won’t do anything to hurt me.”‘Which ‘he’ are you referring to?’ My subconscious inquired and it hit.The ‘he’ could be anybody. I had stupidly rushed to think it was from Davos. What if it wasn't from him? What if it was from Steven? Or worse Shaun? What if it was even from Amanda? These questions popped into my head one after the other and after each question I sensed my heart pick up its pace. As if i

  • Bound to the Alpha’s will   Epilogue

Katrina’s POVThe wind howled through the valley, carrying the scent of blood and smoke, even after all this time. The battle was over, but the land still bore the scars of war—charred earth, shattered weapons, and graves upon graves stretching farther than my eyes could see. I stood at the edge of the ridge, my cloak billowing behind me. The sun was setting, casting an eerie golden glow over the ruins below. It should have been beautiful. Instead, it felt haunting, as though the land itself mourned what had transpired here. Jax stood beside me, his large frame unusually still. He wasn’t the same man who had charged into battle with reckless confidence. None of us were the same anymore. Mira knelt beside a small grave, placing a single white flower upon the fresh mound of dirt. “She was only eighteen,” she murmured, her voice tight with grief. “She was supposed to see the world, not…” Her voice trailed off as her fingers traced the name etched into the stone. Shaun was further

  • Bound to the Alpha’s will   Chapter 169: True Enemy

Katrina’s POVAside from the distant moans of the injured and the crackle of dying fires, the battlefield was eerily quiet. Staring at the Crimson Alpha's lifeless body, his once-imposing figure reduced to a heap of broken bones and lost force, made my heart race. The victorious moment, however, felt unjust. hollow. I felt a shudder go through me as a slow, purposeful clap reverberated over the field. When I turned, I saw Lucy Hawthorne standing there. Her icy-blue eyes gleamed with laughter, and her scarlet cloak hardly stirred in the wind. As she stepped forward, her boots stomping on the blood-soaked grass, she exclaimed, "Well done." "You really did a favor for me." Mira tensed up next to me, her hand clenching over her knife. With a low growl, Jax's muscles tensed, poised to attack. Shaun's amber eyes blazed with anger as he took a defensive step forward. Davos, however, was the one who spoke at last. His voice was like steel as he said, "You were never here for him." “You

Katrina’s POVSharp, constant pain throbbed in my ribs, but I made myself sit up. With bodies moving, weapons clashing, and the smell of blood heavy in the air, the battlefield remained a blur. My body was screaming for me to stay down and breathe, but I was unable to do so.With Mira out there, no.She was in charge of a mission that had the power to alter everything, somewhere beyond the mayhem.Shaun squatted next to me, his expression tight. "You ought not to be moving."I cleaned my mouth of blood. "I have no other option."His eyes grew gloomy. "Mira will take care of it."I forced myself to stand up despite the pain in my limbs and let out a sharp exhale. "She must."Because we would all fail if she did.The night was thick with tension and pressed against my skin.Somewhere out there, Mira and her crew were sneaking through the enemy's fortifications, moving like ghosts in the dark. Destroying their supply chains wasn’t just a mission—it was our only chance. If they fa

  • Bound to the Alpha’s will   Chapter 166: Attempting to Use Another Offer Wisely

Katrina's POV With the exception of the distant crackling of flames devouring the remains of the dead, the battlefield was strangely quiet. The ground was slippery with the remains of soldiers who had sacrificed their lives for this conflict, and the air was heavy with the smell of blood and burned flesh. I walked over corpses, some I recognized, others I didn't, and my heart ached. The never-ending cycle of violence had taken another person, and each one was a loss. And yet there he was, in the middle of the slaughter. The Alpha Crimson. Despite the devastation all around him, he remained tall and intimidating. His posture eased as if he were just a spectator to the mayhem he had created, and his crimson eyes burned like coals. My body cried out for me to fight, to put a stop to this once and for all, and my grasp tightened around my blade. However, he held up a hand. "We need to talk, Katrina." My whole body hummed with stress as I tightened my jaw. "I have nothing to say to

  • Bound to the Alpha’s will   Chapter 165: New Betrayal

Katrina’s POVUnease was in the air at the war camp. The tension was oppressive and unavoidable; it adhered to my skin like a dense mist. There was a problem. The absence of food supply had been the first clue. When additional warriors joined our army, we first believed that the rations were being stretched thin, which was a simple error. Weapons, however, disappeared. Our strategy tent's plans outlining our next course of action vanished. Worst of all, fighters were vanishing into thin air. I looked around the camp as I stood outside my tent. Long, unsettling shadows were thrown over the restless warriors by fires that flared in the darkness. They experienced the paranoia and the feeling that something was falling apart inside of them as well. Shaun came over, his face serious. "Last night, another fighter disappeared. a top scout for us. No indication of a fight. It seems as if he just left. Mira folded her arms. "Someone is helping the enemy." I let out a deep breath, my thoug

  • Bound to the Alpha’s will   Chapter 164: The Decision of a Mother

Katrina's POVEven the most courageous soldiers were hesitant to enter the safehouse since it was tucked away in the deepest area of the forest. It was an area unaffected by conflict or the mayhem engulfing the world beyond the woods. My youngster was protected here. That's what I kept telling myself, anyhow. As the last of the sunshine slipped behind the tall trees, I watched from the doorway of the little wooden home. The soft sound of my son's laughing reverberated within, a tune so innocent that it didn't fit with the burden on my chest.I balled my fists up. The Crimson Alpha's soldiers were gaining momentum as the conflict reached its climax. My troops continued to fight without me for every second I was here. They lost another second life. But leaving was a total gamble. Leaving him was necessary.I turned and stepped inside, feeling a chill. With the flickering fire creating gentle shadows on the walls, the cabin's warmth enveloped me. Mira gave my kid some wooden sculptures t

Katrina’s POVAs we gathered around the frayed scroll, its mysterious lettering flashing in the faint torchlight, the atmosphere was heavy with suspense. Every time my heart beat, it served as a harsh reminder of how much depended on us. We had arrived to the deserted Lycan ruins, a location lost to time, thanks to the mystery. I felt the old carvings under my fingertips as I moved them over the stone walls. Relics from the past. Back when werewolves and lycans weren't adversaries. When they were one, that is. • Bound to the Alpha’s will   Chapter 162: A Fight Against Herself

Katrina's POVThe air shifted around me, thick like a heavy mist, pulling me under. My body no longer felt like my own. The world faded, the ground dissolving beneath me until I was floating in an endless void. I wasn’t sure how I got here—one moment, I had been gripping the scroll the temple guardian had given me, reading its cryptic words, and the next, everything had gone dark. I took a slow breath, steadying my nerves. This was part of the trial. I had known there would be one. The moment I touched the scroll, I felt something pull at me, dragging me into a place beyond the physical world. But I hadn’t expected it to feel so... real. A soft whisper echoed through the void, a voice both foreign and familiar. "You're not prepared." I spun, searching for the source, but there was only darkness. Then, out of nowhere, a figure stepped forward. My breath caught. It was me. Or rather, it was a version of me—one twisted, darker. Her eyes blazed an unnatural red, her lips twisted
