The Redwood pack was oddly just what I expected it to be.

The entire house was painted black, and it was as huge as a hospital. Even the roof had been painted black, adding to the eeriness of the place.

I shuddered as I shook the hand of the man who introduced himself as Beta of the pack. “Victor Lure, at your service. Welcome to Redwood.”

I said nothing as I followed him into the house. A few people were lingering around, which made me realize that Kolton probably followed the old tradition of the entire pack living under only one roof. I didn’t receive too many looks as I walked through the house, and I couldn’t help but wonder if that was a good or bad thing.
