The last thing I remembered was the feeling of falling, followed by the darkness that enveloped me.

"Blue, are you alright?" someone asked as I slowly regained consciousness.

I blinked, confused, trying to make sense of my surroundings. I was no longer in the art room instead, I was lying on a comfy couch, and the voices around me were filled with concern.

"What happened?" I managed to croak out.

Troy, Mary, and a few others were gathered around me. Troy looked especially worried.

"You fainted during the painting session," he explained gently.

I felt a wave of embarrassment wash over me. "I'm so sorry," I mumbled.

Mary knelt beside the couch, her hand on my forehead. "You are burning up," she said. "Let's get her back to her room to rest."

Troy agreed to help me. He gently carried me up in his strong arms, and I could not help but feel a rush of warmth at his touch. He carefully guided us to my room, where he laid me down gently on my bed. My head was still spinning from the fainting

"Give me a moment," I requested, watching as the guard closed the door behind him.Turning back to Blue, I noticed her condition had worsened. Leaving her alone was the last thing I wanted to do, but duty calls."Blue," I began gently, "I truly wish I could stay by your side right now, but my pack needs my attention. I am sure you understand, being a fellow Alpha."She nodded slightly, her eyes reflecting understanding. "Yes, I understand."I looked at her one last time as I made for the door, Blue’s expression was unreadable. I wondered if it was from the sickness or because she genuinely wished I could spend more time with her. It would be better if it was the latter because I do not want to leave her side either. In my office, I found Xena and another of my trusted guards already present. A quick survey revealed the chaos th

I swung my legs out of bed and stretched, feeling the pleasant ache from my legs. Yesterday had been quite a lot for me but I was thankful everything had gone exactly as planned. If it had, Tyga's and my head would have been hung by the Redmoon’s territory for daring to try them. I was really hoping Tyga made it back safe and sound. He played a crucial role in our plan, and I hoped he had returned safely to assist in training our army for the forthcoming attack on the Redmoon pack. But, you know, while all that is going on, I have got to make sure I'm ready and well equipped for what lies ahead. That is why I am heading off to continue my training with Troy. I need to learn his strengths and weaknesses so that when the time comes, we can strike with precision.I carefully selected my training outfit. I chose a pair of sturdy brown leather pants and paired them with a simple, fitted white blouse and I secured my long, blue hair with a leather tie, keeping it out of my way.I descen

I'm not sure what came over me, but there was something about seeing Troy's well-toned body, the way he laughed, and, I hate to admit it, but when he brought me those flowers and chocolates last night, my heart skipped a beat.At that moment, I kissed him. His lips were soft, and it felt magical, unlike anything I had experienced before. When I pulled away, I saw him, his eyes wide open, staring at me. Suddenly, embarrassment washed over me. I was certain he had not seen this coming, and now he probably thinks I am weird."I am so sorry, I have no idea why I did that," I confessed, my face red with embarrassment. He appeared stunned, unable to speak, I said sorry one last time before I tried to make my way out of the water.Suddenly, I felt a force pulling me back, and I found myself in Troy’s embrace. This time, the kiss was long and passionate, and I could not resist the overwhelming connection between us. I felt like I was melting in his hands, and whatever magic he was using on me

TROY’S POV.We walked back home, and it was obvious that Blue was feeling embarrassed. She maintained a considerable distance from me, no less than four feet, her face flushed with embarrassment. It seemed like she could not wait to put some space between us.I attempted to strike up small talk, but she responded with minimal words, mostly "mmmh" and nods, indicating her reluctance to engage in conversation. I wished I could tell her that it was perfectly normal for her to feel attracted to me and act on impulse, especially since she was my mate. However, considering our complicated history and the fact that she had not yet fully transitioned into a wolf, I decided to hold back on that conversation.Upon entering my house, I was greeted by the sight of Xena, my beta and close friend, who had seemingly made himself quiet at home. He sat there with a cup of coffee in hand, engrossed in one of my books. Classic Xena, always the bookworm. He glanced up at Blue and me, his eyes narrowing w

It was in the middle of the night, and I could not ignore the sounds of pain any longer. I debated whether I should go check it out or not. However, my curiosity got the best of me, and I decided to go.I gently pushed my bedroom door open and followed the noise, which led me right into Troy's room. I had a moment of doubt, wondering if I should intrude on his privacy, but heck, my curiousness won.Inside, I found Troy in the grip of some intense pain, seemingly unaware of my presence. His face contorted in agony, and he appeared to be trapped in some kind of trance. At that moment, a dark thought crossed my mind. I could take advantage of his vulnerable state, kill him, and escape before anyone found out but I dismissed the thought.I was about to turn back to my room when I heard Troy mumbling in his sleep like he was begging someone. He kept saying, "Father, please, please don't hurt me."I froze, telling myself to ignore it and let him be, but I could not. Taking a deep breath, I

TROY’S POV. I took a deep breath, my heart pounding as I contemplated opening up about my past to Blue. She looked at me with those kind, understanding eyes, and I felt like I could trust her with my darkest memories."Those nightmares... They were memories of a dark time in my life, Blue. A time I have tried to bury deep within me," I confessed, my voice shaking slightly.Blue leaned in. "Tell me more," she urged softly.I closed my eyes for a moment, trying to push away those painful memories that just would not leave me alone.Years ago, when my father was still alive and the alpha of the Redmoon pack, I endured an excruciating amount of physical and emotional abuse. My father was an unhinged psychopath, and the only person capable of calming him was his mate, my mother. Tragically, my mother passed away during childbirth, and her death sent my father spiraling into a deeper abyss of violence and brutality. With my mother's death tied to my birth, my father saw me as an evil omen,

After talking with Troy, I started to rethink everything. Since I joined the Redmoon pack a few weeks ago, they have turned out to be much nicer than I expected based on the stories I had heard. Before arriving here, I believed that by killing their Alpha and breaking down their pack, I could escape the pain his father had inflicted upon me.However, it was becoming evident that I was not the sole victim of his abuse. Troy, too, had endured the same suffering, growing up with a father who never loved him and subjected him to constant abuse, making him feel utterly unwanted and unloved.I could not relate to the trauma Troy endured, because my father, when he was alive, wanted the best for me and made sure I knew how much he loved me. It must be really sad to grow up the way Troy did. I guess he never knew what it's like to be truly loved. With this thought in mind, I decided to do something nice for him. So, I went downstairs to the kitchen to prepare a delicious meal.I was not exact

BACK AT THE MOONLIGHT PACK.ALEX POV.I entered Tyga's office, my emotions in rage after my second visit with Blue. Earlier, I had been brimming with excitement at the thought of seeing her, but now I could not shake the worry and disappointment that had settled in me."What is wrong, boy?" Tyga asked as I entered his office, concerned clearly in his tone. "Is everything alright with Blue?"I slumped into a chair in the corner of the room, my frustration palpable. "I do not know anymore, Tyga. I think the Redmoon Pack is brainwashing her."Tyga leaned forward, his expression serious. "What do you mean by that, Alex?"I ran a hand through my hair, my anxiety mounting. My meeting with Blue had not gone as expected, and it seemed like she was growing more distant and ignoring my feelings."She said she is no longer sure if she wants to go through with the attack anymore," I explained, frustration prominent in my voice.Tyga leaned forward, his brows furrowed in confusion. Chapter 138 – Blue’s POVThe world outside felt eerily calm as we prepared to set out. Emily’s sobs echoed in my mind as I stood by the window, staring into the night. It was the calm before the storm—a silence that weighed heavily on all of us.Troy’s presence beside me was steadying. He placed a hand on my shoulder, his grip firm and reassuring. “We’ll get him back, Blue. We’ll bring Nathan home.”I nodded, steeling myself. “And we’ll finally end this madness.”Emily sat nearby, her face pale and drawn, clutching the last remnants of hope she had. Her brother’s life hung in the balance, and we couldn’t fail.Troy stepped forward, the sword from his uncle’s chest now sheathed at his side. “This might be more than just saving Nathan. If Emily’s right, this man—the one behind all of this—could be tied to the secrets of the cult. He might even be the one who’s been orchestrating the attacks against our pack.”I swallowed hard, the weight of his words sinking in.“You don’t think…?” I he

EMILY’S POV. Humming a turn mindlessly, I strolled along the lonely part leading to my house. It was a shortcut that I had not used in a while but today I decided to take that lane because I was exhausted and needed to rest. While walking I noticed an unusual sound and I turned around to see a man standing beside me. He was wearing all black and wore a mask too, so I could only see a part of his face. “Hey, “ I said trying to hide my fear, it was strange to see another person walking in the same lane because it's usually quiet and nobody uses it as much. He did not say anything, so I kept walking fast and trying to be on high alert. The man eventually caught up with him. At this point, the hair on the back of my neck was standing and I did not know if to run or pretend to be brave. So I choose the latter.“Are you sure you did not take anything from that room,” he asked.“What are you talking about?” I asked, walking faster, trying to get away from this creep. “You know exactly

I entered the room to find Troy was already there, gently rocking one of the babies side by side and whispering soothing words to both of our little ones. I placed my hands on his shoulder, thankful for his help before going to carry the other baby to breastfeed.I settled into the nearby rocking chair, cradling our second baby close, and chuckled softly. “They like having a lot of attention, don’t they?”He nodded, his gaze shifting between our babies. “They do,” he said, and then smiling softly, he continued ” They are just like their mama, always wanting all of my attention,”“What do you mean?” I pouted, “I definitely do not disturb like this kids,”“Whatever you say, darling, whatever you say,” he responded and kissed my forehead. “They took after their father, not me,” I protested. “I was a sweet little girl growing up and never cried over nothing,” I said proudly.“Even that statement sounds like a lie,” he said cockil

Cause I would have sworn you were going deaf,” I spat in anger.“Easy there now Child, your anger is too much and we don't like it when. People visit our arena with that much anger, it disrupts the balance of my realm,” she said calmly. The way she sounded calmly made me even more angry.“What do you want Child,” she asked softly, “I am guessing I already know why judging from your anger but I would like to hear you speak for yourself,” “Why did you not inform me earlier, you said you w

EMILY’S POV. I walked up very early in the morning clutching tightly the bag which contained Alex’s drawing and potentially the evidence we needed. I heard the bag tightly throughout the time, afraid that it might disappear or someone would come to steal it from me. I needed to speak with Blue as soon as possible and I went into the shower for a long bath to calm my tired nerves. I got out of the shower and dried my hair when I noticed something was missing. I looked around and the bag was nowhere to be found. I started to panic. Had someone broken into my house when I was bathing? I quickly searched the entire house when I saw Nathan, my younger brother holding the paper in his hands and the other scattered on the ground.“Nathan, what are you doing ?” I shouted at him which startled him. He turned to look at me and immediately he saw my angry expression and said “I am so sorry Emily,” he asked. “What the hell is wrong with you,” I scolded, while arranging all the paper together

I am fine,” I responded while wiping my hands dry. “Is it about Alex, because if it is, you know you can talk to me,” I responded. The mention of Alex, felt like she put a dagger through my heart and I could feel the intensity of the pain I had been trying so desperately to avoid and I started crying again. Veronica walked up to me and started hugging me and patting my back. “Is okay sweetie?” he whispered into my ears as I cried into her shoulders, “let it all out?” I sobbed uncontrollably into her arms for what felt like forever. “I don't know if I would ever stop to feel this pain?” I sniffed and I lifted myself from her warm hug to look at her. “I don't know if this pain would ever go away, Veronica. It hurt too much,”“I understand you,” she said as she tucked a loose strand of my hair be
