As I was driving home from work, I couldn’t help but notice a car was following me.

It was a big black SUV, similar to the one I was forced into the day I met Andrew.

My heart raced as a wave of panic washed over me.

Did he somehow find out about his son?

There would be no way for him to have discovered the truth. I had kept Liam a secret from the werewolf world, fearing the consequences that would come if they found out.

Desperate to confirm my suspicions, I took a few turns that I normally wouldn’t make, hoping to lose the car tailing me.

To my dismay, with each turn I made, they too made, closing in on my position. Fear consumed me, and I knew I had to take action to protect my son and myself.

Gritting my teeth, I pulled over to the side of the quiet road and quickly retrieved my shotgun from the backseat.

Adrenaline coursed through my veins as I loaded it, my hands trembling slightly. With the weapon firmly in my grasp, I stepped out of the car, ready to confront whoever was behin

  • Bound by the Moon: Alina's Destiny   You cant have me

"Mommy, you look super nice tonight," Liam's sweet voice said, making me blush. There was just something about one's son saying you look nice that gave you all the confidence in the world. I think it was because children, on average, are brutally honest whether you like what they say or not. I knew his words held no hidden intent and that he truly meant what he said. "Thank you, my boy. Mommy has a work event to attend, so you must be nice with Auntie Thelma," I said as we drove in the car. "Mommy?" Liam asked. I turned to look at him, seeing a puzzled look on his face. "Yes, my boy?" I asked in a soft tone, reverting my eyes back to the road. "Where's Daddy?" He asked for the first time. I knew the day would come where he would start to wonder about his father, but I didn't think it would be so soon. "Daddy went to visit heaven a while ago. I'm not sure when we will see him again," I said. I had always planned to tell him his father was dead. It would make things easier for t

“Alina,” Alex’s voice whispered in my ear as she wrapped her arms around me. I could smell the booze on her breath. She’d already had a few drinks. She was already drunk, leaning heavily on me. “Come have a drink,” she slurred, pointing to the table where all the drinks were.I chuckled and sat down on the couch, grabbing a drink from the sea of options. Unfortunately, I knew that wouldn’t be enough to get me drunk.Fortunately, I had a secret source for werewolf potions that could enhance the effects.A few drops in each drink and I’d be partying all night, but it would take an hour to sober up. I carefully poured a few drops into my drink, watching as it mixed.Tonight I was going to let go and forget about the weight of the past two years.Raising Liam on my own during his terrible two’s, taking care of my bedridden mother and holding on to the last of her life, was exhausting.Tonight was going to be my escape from all that, or so I thought, until I saw Andrew. Just when I thought

The drive in Andrews’ limo was quiet and awkward. The tension between us was palpable. It was thicker than the snow on mount Everest. So thick an avalanche was bound to happen.“So you have a son?” He said. I could hear the pain in his voice. Making me remember how I over shared earlier.“yes” I said, not making eye contact looking out the widow as the raindrops start to run down the window. Reminding me of the day we parted.“Is the child mine?” He asked. I could feel his eyes on me waiting in anticipation. The question took me off guard.“No” I said.“Dont flatter yourself. It’s not like you're the only man I’ve ever been with,” I lied. Hoping it sounds like the truth. I looked over my shoulder at him, seeing his fist balled up tightly. I could see a few veins in his neck straining as he tries to keep himself calm.“Can we just stop at 134 acre street I need to pick up my child?” I asked, and he nodded at the driver. The drive there was painfully silent. When the car stopped at the

“What do you mean?” I asked. Feeling consumed by confusion and grief, Like I was stumbling through a drunken haze.“It’s not safe for you here. We need to leave,” Andrew repeated, his frustration evident in his tone“Leave? To where?” I asked. It wasn’t as if we all had the luxury of endless funds to travel wherever we wanted. Not everyone was an Alpha King.“You’re coming home with me,” he said firmly, his tone leaving no room for negotiation.“That isn’t my home—that’s hell. I would rather die than go back there with you. Not again. I was stupid enough once, Andrew. I won’t make the same mistake twice,” I said coldly. I crossed my arms over my chest.Andrew looked at me like I was already gone, as though he was grieving me before I was even dead. Running a hand over his face in exasperation, he began pacing back and forth.I had seen Andrew in many moods and forms, but I had never seen him this panicked. Suddenly, he stopped pacing, turning toward me and gripping my shoulders tight

I was still trying to process the fact that my mother was gone.Dead.That alone felt impossible to accept. But now I had to wrap my head around something even worse—she hadn’t just died. She’d been murdered.Someone had taken her from me on purpose. The thought was like ice in my veins, too cold, too sharp. Why? Why would anyone do this?“Why would someone kill her?” I whispered. It was the only question I could manage, though it felt pointless because I knew no answer would ever make sense. My head was spinning. Every thought tangled into the next, leaving me drowning in this unbearable mess. On top of everything else, the cruel irony hit me like a slapin the face. The one person I’d despised most in my life was now the only one I could turn to.“Whoever it was has ties to the witches,” he said, his tone low and steady, though his jaw was clenched tight. His expression was distant, like he was putting together a puzzle only he could see.“The rune carved into your mother’s hand—it’s

I wasn’t sure I’d have the strength to stop myself if we let things spiral again. He let out a deep, possessive growl, his glowing eyes locking on mine, his canines bared in frustration. Shaking his head, he dragged a hand over his face, clearly fighting to rein in his wolf.“Sorry... it’s my wolf,” he said his voice rough and strained.I nodded “It’s fine. I understand.” I paused, meeting his gaze. “As long as you understand this: the road to an ‘us’ isn’t a short one.”His eyes softened, and I could see the weight of my words settling on him. He nodded, a slow and deliberate motion that carried the promise of understanding.I added, “and you need to know, this is the last chance I’ll ever give you, Andrew.” There won’t be another.”“I know, An di wont let it go to waste.” He said slow and steady.“Good. I knew I was no match for Andrew. His family had that stupid strength ability. The one that made them nearly invincible in battle. It gave them an advantage over any other alpha, and right now.I was experiencing that disadvantage firsthand. His grip around my throat was tight, but not suffocating. He was giving me a chance. A small, razor-thin chance to explain myself before he crushed my windpipe."Woah, woah, woah," I rasped. "I thought it was innocent until proven guilty?"The second the words left my mouth, I could see his expression shift. It wasn’t what he expected me to say. His grip loosened ever so slightly, and his brows pulled together in confusion."So, you deny kissing your queen?" His voice was sharp."MY mate," he snarled.I let out a slow breath, rubbing my throat once he finally let go."I never said that," I admitted, sitting up slightly. "But I didn’t do it as some sort of power play against you. I didn’t do it to dethrone you. Whether you want to know this or
