"Good."

Andrew’s voice was firm and unwavering. As if though he had already decided my loyalty before I even spoke it into existence.

"Me and my mate are one. So your loyalty to her is a loyalty to me."

His words left no room for argument, but there was no need for one. He brushed off what I had just said like it was a given, like he expected it.

"This war doesn’t have to break out," he continued.

"We can spare lives on both sides."

I nodded agreeing with him. War was ugly. And if we could avoid it ... why not?.

"The reason for this movement. As Johnathan is calling it. is because Alpha Henry saved me all those years ago." His lips curled slightly at the word saved.

"And in return, I vowed to take his daughter as my Luna."

I nodded again, replaying the events of that night in my mind.

The blood bath. The kings dead body splayed over the throne. Andrew being shivering from fear in his wolf form. His first shift. I had only seen him display heavy emotions like that twice in my life tim

The rhythmic beeping of a machine was the first thing I heard. Slowly all the other sounds started flowing into my ears. Almost way to loud for me to even hear.My eyelids felt heavy, like weights were tied to them. Like they refused to open but I forced them open. The bright white of the hospital room made me wince as every beam of light bounced around. The memories hit me all at once. Andrew’s grip around Eli’s throat, his eyes filled with rage. I had felt it through our bond, like a wildfire spreading through my veins. The anger so powerfull it felt like it was eating away at my flesh. Burning me from the inside out.I sat up quickly, but before I could fully move, a hand pressed down gently on my shoulder.I turned, ready to defend myself, only to meet those familiar eyes.Alex.I hadn’t seen her since my mother’s funeral.“You okay?” she asked, concern dripping from her voice.“I’ve been worried sick about you. Andrew called me the moment you disappeared. We've been looking for

"I'm so happy you're home."Andrew’s voice was soft, but the warmth in his tone caught me off guard. His lips pressed gently against my forehead, a stark contrast to the raging storm I had felt through our bond just before I passed out.Something was off.I blinked up at him, confusion clouding my thoughts. He was acting... cheerful.Like nothing had happened. Like he hadn't nearly ripped Eli’s throat out moments ago.I turned my head to Alex, my brows furrowing. "Alex, how long was I out?"She glanced at her watch and then back at me. "About an hour, I'd say."An hour?I expected days. Maybe even weeks, considering how exhausted I felt. And how Andrews mood did a complete 180.My eyes flicked between Andrew and Eli.Andrew stood there with that unreadable expression he wore so well. Almost like he was keeping something from me.Eli, on the other hand, shrugged dramatically. Feigning innocence. "What?" he askedI narrowed my eyes at him before shaking my head."So, how you feeling, si

After explaining everything to Alex, I turned my head. Catching the growing smirk on Andrew’s face.It wasn’t just a small smile. It was beaming. His eyes practically sparkled with amusement, something I rarely saw from him.I narrowed my eyes, crossing my arms. "Alright, what is with you today?" I asked, tilting my head, unable to ignore it anymore."You seem over the moon for some odd reason. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining, but..." I trailed off, giving him a pointed look."An hour ago, you were about ready to rip my brother’s throat out."At the mention of the word brother, Eli’s grin widened slightly. He was still getting used to it. No, we were still getting used to it.But something about the way his chest swelled with pride made my heart warm.Andrew, however, just let out a deep chuckle. He threw his arm over my shoulders, pulling me into his warmth, and placed a soft kiss on my cheek."Because, baby," he murmured against my skin, his lips curling into a smirk, "we ju

I pushed open the door, instantly hit with the rich smell of caffeine and the undeniable scent of exhaustion that clung to the air. The omega stood in the doorway, barely keeping her eyes open as she held a tray of coffees, looking like she’d been up for three days straight.Which, honestly? Given that it was two o’clock in the morning, she probably had.I quickly took the tray from her hands, offering a small smile. "It’s Carly, right?"Her eyes widened like she had just downed an entire Red Bull. She nodded, clearly unsure as to why her Luna (a title I was given the moment everyone saw Andrew’s mark on my neck) knew her name. A lowly omega’s name."Thank you for this," I said sincerely. "I think you can take the night off. Go to bed. I’m sure we won’t need anything else, and if we do..."She shook her head so frantically I thought she might give herself whiplash."L...Luna, I appreciate the thought, but I would lose my job," she stammered.I frowned before turning toward Andrew, who

I sat in the Serenity Pack’s meeting room, a grand space draped in golds and whites, the colors of their pack. The walls were lined with banners embroidered with the Serenity crest, and a massive chandelier hung above us, casting a warm, golden glow across the polished marble table where we sat.Serenity Pack was known for their ability to sense truth, which helped them make good investments. Their funds were almost on the same level as the Alpha King’s... just short by two billion.Yet, despite the room’s beauty, there was an unmistakable weight in the air.Alpha Miles was late.Fifteen minutes late to a meeting with the Alpha King. That wasn’t an accident. That was a message. A very bold one at that.Andrew’s fingers tapped rhythmically against the tabletop, his expression unreadable, but through our bond, I could feel his frustration simmering beneath the surface. He was pissed. Understandably so. It was viewed as disrespectful and completely rude to be late to a meeting in your ow

The air in the meeting room was tense. Heavy. Thick with unspoken words and hidden agendas.Alpha Miles sat at the head of the table, his fingers drumming against the polished wood as he regarded us with careful curiosity. He had yet to say much, but I could tell he was already reading into the situation, analyzing our every movement. Trying to figure us out before we even spoke.I wasn’t the only one noticing things.Across the table, an eye war was brewing between Jonathan and Eli.Eli sat back, arms crossed, his expression cool but unreadable. Jonathan, on the other hand, was practically vibrating with suppressed anger, his fingers twitching slightly. He wanted to say something. Do something. And Miles? He kept glancing between them, like he was putting together a puzzle with missing pieces. Then, finally, he spoke.“What gives us the pleasure of having a private meeting with the Alpha King in my own pack?” His voice was smooth, controlled, but I could hear the edge of wariness ben

Andrew leaned back into his chair, exuding confidence so effortlessly that it bled into me.“I think we need some time to discuss,” Alpha Miles finally said, his voice lacking the same certainty it had held when the meeting first started.Andrew glanced down at his watch, his movements slow and deliberate.Completely Unbothered.“Well,” he mused, adjusting the cuff of his suit, “I have a meeting with Alpha Dale in about thirty minutes. So I suggest you come to a conclusion before I exit your pack territory.” His tone was clipped and professional, but unmistakably authoritative. “And do make haste. I have plenty more meetings to attend. Meetings with packs I have no doubt will not waste even a minute of my time.”And with that, he stood, adjusting the lapels of his suit as if this meeting was nothing more than a minor inconvenience. I knew I was no match for Andrew. His family had that stupid strength ability. The one that made them nearly invincible in battle. A small, razor-thin chance to explain myself before he crushed my windpipe."Woah, woah, woah," I rasped. "I thought it was innocent until proven guilty?"The second the words left my mouth, I could see his expression shift. It wasn’t what he expected me to say. His grip loosened ever so slightly, and his brows pulled together in confusion."So, you deny kissing your queen?" His voice was sharp."MY mate," he snarled.I let out a slow breath, rubbing my throat once he finally let go."I never said that," I admitted, sitting up slightly.
