Magnolia walked into the house, numerous shopping bags on hand as she made her way to the kitchen. Her stepmother and her kids were in the living room watching television but she had no reason whatsoever to join them. As she unloaded the thing's in the storage cupboards and refrigerator. She felt a presence behind her, turning slowly, she saw her stepmother looking at her with a weird gaze but she had been warned never to question their actions so she said nothing about it.
"Your father called while you went shopping, he would like you to call him once you are free" Anna said as magnolia smiled softly at her before nodding her head. Anna didn't want to do this to this poor girl but for Lucinda to be able to inherit her husband's property she needed to get magnolia out of the way. Weighing the pros and cons, her selling magnolia to that man was the best idea. She walked closer to magnolia as she took a seat in front of her. "I know we haven't really been on good terms Magnolia, but I know after tomorrow you would hate me even more" Anna said as magnolia stopped what she was doing as she looked up at Anna. "What do you mean by that?" Magnolia asked but Anna just shook her head pushing the thoughts away as she left the kitchen. Magnolia was perplexed by her words and hoped she wouldn't do anything to extreme. After rounding up her work, she went upstairs to the room given to her which was at the north part of the house. Where the sun hardly hits the roof of the building and cool breeze makes the walls seem wet. She slumped on her bed as she picked up her phone, calling her father who was eager to speak to her. "Hello father, how is England doing?" Magnolia asked as she spoke with her father in the phone. Ever since he got promoted from whatever post he was holding at his office, he was always moving around the world and leaving her here with Anna. After the call with her father, magnolia was too tired that she fell asleep almost immediately. Anna was busy clearing the front lawn when a car stopped in front of the house. The car was large and shiny, it was defined owned by a rich person. Two buffed men dressed in black suits and even had the mind to pull out their guns stepped out of the car as he opened the back door. An older man stopped out, he wasn't too old, he looked like he was in his early forties. "You must be Mrs Anna, I'm Ronald the man you spoke to yesterday" Ronald said, Anna recognized that arrogant and teasing voice anywhere. She shook her head as she stepped into the house slowly. "I-i'm not doing it anymore, sorry" Anna said shutting the door in their face as she ran her fingers through her hair in panic. "That bitch, I must pick up the boss's package else we're done for" Donald said as the buffed bodyguards headed for the door as they prepared to bring it down. Magnolia who was walking down the stairs, saw her stepmother in front of the door with a scared look on her face. "Good morning ma, is something wrong?" She asked as her stepmother turned to her, eyes widened as she pushed her back upstairs. "No matter what happens, stay upstairs and don't come down" Anna said, magnolia wanted to say something but a glare from Anna made her go upstairs. Magnolia got to her room, she locked the door as she looked out the window. An expensive Mercedes Benz was parked right at the front. She face palmed wondering what her stepmother had gotten herself into. Magnolia decided to change into something less exposing. She wore a plain white T-shirt that hung just below her waist with a pair of leggings. She sat on her bed hoping that nothing was going wrong because her instincts were telling her to run but there was no escape. Magnolia heard a loud bang on the front door that made the building vibrate, she had no choice but to leave her room but in a sneaky way. "Where is the girl? The person who gave you my contact didn't tell you that once the deal is made you can't stop it, did they?" Ronald asked Anna who was kneeling on the floor with two guns pointed at her. "No-no I wasn't aware, it was a bad idea and I don't want to do it anymore. Just leave my home already" Anna said, she was careful with her tone if speech to avoid making the man angry. "I'm sorry but that isn't possible, find the girl. The faster we acquire her the faster with her a vacation" Ronald sighed, just imagining how the Bahamas would be during summer. The men quickly headed up the stairs as magnolia ran into her room locking the door. Her heart raced against her chest as she heard the door knob jiggling with force, she knew someone was out there, as tears ran down her cheeks, she palmed her mouth as she body shook. "Lia, it's Lucinda. Open up" she heard Lucinda's voice. Lucinda was the only one who truly understood her, magnolia could trust her. With shaky hands, she opened the door but was shocked to see a wicked smile on Lucinda's lips. "Take her" Lucinda said viciously as she walked away. Magnolia slowly backed back into the room but the two buffed men grabbed her hand as they pulled her out of the room. "No! Let me go, don't do this, I didn't do anything wrong" Magnolia screamed as the dragged her downstairs. "Ah, our little package. Put her in the car I'll be right out" Ronald said as the men nodded as they dragged magnolia to the door. "Ma! Don't allow them to take me, please" magnolia yelled but Anna only looked at her guiltily. "You'll get your money soon" The man said as he walked out of their home.Magnolia sat in the car, she wasn't tied up but she kept sobbing as they drove away from their house. "Please, I don't know what I did wrong but please don't hurt me" she sobbed as Ronald looked at the poor girl, his arrogant demeanor lessened as he stared at her."I'm sorry about this, but that woman agreed to give you to us. She sold you off but she wanted to change her mind, but it's not possible" Ronald said calmly as magnolia grabbed his sleeves with a pitiful expression, tears rolling down her pink cheeks."Then let me go, you have a choice and I know you don't want to do this" Magnolia just guessed, thinking the man would let her go but he just pushed her hand off his body as he closed his eyes enjoying the ride.Magnolia sat in the car as she cried. Lucinda had also betrayed her, giving her to these men without thinking twice, her life had always been messed up but this was just absurd. Magnolia was pushed back into the elevator by the masked man who was definitely intrigued by this little fox. He wasn't one to get drawn to a woman but when he saw her at that supermarket, he found her pretty familiar."Please, what have I done wrong? You can't treat me this way" magnolia said, she wanted to cry but tears didn't flow down her eyes. Her chest felt stuffy and her headached but all these couldn't solve her problem."You don't have to do anything wrong, and I would love to tell you why you are here but you don't deserve it" The masked one said coldly as he ignored her after that.Magnolia looked at him secretly with a glare. She thought he would be some Greek god when they bumped into each other at that supermarket but he was just a total asshole."You can swear at me all you want but I don't care" The masked man said as he grabbed her by the shoulder, roughly making her wince as he walked to the room she had ran away from. She saw Orion standing in front of her, his masked still on as he stared at her."Do you always sleep this long?" Orion asked her as he stepped into the room. He pulled open the blinds, making magnolia squint as she rubbed her eyes. Everything seemed blurry, she stood up but wobb
Magnolia watched Orion walk away from the stand. His phone pressed to his ear as he walked, not daring to even look back at her once.Magnolia couldn't help but shake her head in anger. She had finally brought herself to accept that she was getting married to a stranger but he had bluntly humiliated her. She looked at the priest who just smiled at her coldly.Tears brewed up in magnolia's eyes as she wiped them clean. She promised herself not to cry for him, she was strong and would find a way to get out of here. She left the garden heading back up to her room. The maid's weren't in the Villa thankfully but she could still feel as if she was being watched. Magnolia went to the dining were she had heard clattering of utensils and plates. She thought it was a ghost so she rushed over here, but her eyes caught Orion who had changed to something less unbearable. He had a white T-shirt and black slacks on, his hair was ruffled slightly and he looked relaxed as he served himself some food.
Magnolia slowly stood up, she could feel the murderous aura he had around him and it made her feel scared. She looked up at him but she got a light tap on her cheek, she had expected it to hurt but it just tingled a bit."Why do you behave just like her?" Orion asked as he pushed a strand of her hair behind her ear. Magnolia stood there confused, who was she behaving like?"Uhm, I'm kind of confused. Who am I behaving like?" Magnolia said but Orion just turned to look at her fiercely as she chuckled. Today marked the beginning of her torture and he would make sure he made her life filled with pain, pleasure, denial and every other thing he was made to feel by her own mother."You have no right to call me by my name magnolia, don't forget you are nothing but a furniture. I get to use you as I please, gift you if I choose and hit you if I want, but you don't get to do all that. When we are alone, you refer to me as master and nothing more. Got it?"
