Julian straightened in his seat. "The private investigator found something useful?" he asked.

Philip nodded. "Yes, sir, he has, as a matter of fact."

"Good, lay it on me then."

Philip cleared his throat. "He finally found Marcus's daughter, Jane."

"Where did he find her?"

"It's a long story, sir, but he found her—" Philip’s phone rang, cutting him off. His face flushed scarlet at the sound of it. His girlfriend had changed the ringtone to a trendy K-pop song that she was completely obsessed with. "I-I’ll just take this," he stuttered and picked up the phone. "Hello, Mr. Davis… Yes, he’s here… She has?… Okay, I’ll inform him," he said and hung up.

"Sir, that was the PI. He said that the girl's concussion has cleared and that you can come and get all the information from her before she decides to leave. Would you like to or—"

Julian stood and picked up his suit jacket. "Inform the driver. Let's go."
