Chapter 15: Brothers Saga

IRIS POV

My eyes slit open, being welcomed by the ray of the sun, which hit my face instantly, making my vision blurry for a moment. The next thing that hit me was the smell of medicine. Unable to recognise my environment, I stood up immediately, trying to recall myself and how I got here.

My eyes sighted someone seated on the chair close to the bed I had slept in. I recognise this place. It was said to be Charles' special ward, where he gets treated whenever he is sick.

I was unable to see the person properly because his face was buried in his hands, which he had wrapped around. He seems to be thinking that he/she didn't notice my movements.

Suddenly, the person raised his hands to look at me. My heart skipped when I realised who the person was. It was Ander. Charles' brother. He ran together with me and pulled me in a tight hug, his heart panting. His breath was laboured, which got me wondering what had happened and why he was behaving this way.
