ALPHA LINCOLN'S POV

It was her.

Montana.

She had dropped a message for me. One I did not expect.

I was both happy and shocked at the same time.

Even though the message concerning our kids, it was still something. She was cold to me, but I was still grateful that she thought to text me, whatever the message was.

I smiled. I still tried calling her again with the line, hoping for it to ring, but it was also disconnected.

This is torture. One I brought upon myself, and one I deserve.

MONTANA'S POV

Aunt Calista left me there for a while and I appreciated it because me being rolled up that way, I wanted to mourn, I deserved to mourn.

Even though I knew nothing about my parents, I was grateful for the memories Aunt Calista shared with me. It made me feel like I had known them for so long.

Even with our pack. I mourned for hours, crying my eyes out, the pain, the screams, I wanted to know, I wanted to mourn.

Hours had passed, and I had calmed down a bit.
