My eyes fluttered open and the blinding lights seeped through my eyelids. The next thing that I did was squeeze my eyes shut and while I remained in the silence, the things that happened earlier replayed in my head causing my eyes to open again.

“What the hell happened earlier and where am I?” I muttered to myself, swiveling my gaze around the whole room before making a tiny sniffle. My eyes landed on someone who sat on the chair and when he noticed the ruffling movement that was made on the bed.

My eyes widened when I recognized the man to be the one who I had confronted, I knew that I was in the wrong place and I wasn’t supposed to be there. He turned in my direction and a bright smile formed on his face as he rushed towards me. The only thing that I wanted to do was to disappear because the last thing that I wanted was to engage in any sort of argument with him.

The person that I wanted to see was Bruce Lawrence and not this man that kept addressing himself as my husband. Why
