"It's been a day Since you lost consciousness." Melody replied and I groaned.

My mind wandered to Alex. How was he? Did he already know that I was captured by his damn brother? Was he looking for me? What about the antidote we were carrying? Did it reach his hands somehow because it's the only thing that can save the poisoned wolves?

So many questions filled my head. I didn't even notice when I got lost in my thoughts.

I tried to connect with Alex through the bond but the only thing that greeted me was sheer darkness. It's like something or rather someone was blocking the bond. The more I remained cooped in the place the more restless I grew. Not knowing what the fucking hell happened with Valeria's body or whether my mate was safe or if the land was safe from the Poison was driving me crazy.

My thoughts came to a halt when the sound of a lock clicking filled the room and I raised my head. A girl entered the room.

She was carrying what seemed like a tray of food and a bowl of water. I
