Richard walked into his grand living room with a spring in his step, his eyes gleaming with malicious delight. The headlines were ablaze with news of Ava’s supposed adultery with Denis, and the scandal was exactly what he had hoped for. He found his wife Isabella and eldest daughter Amelia seated on the lavish sofa, their faces expectant.

“Have you heard the latest?” Richard said, barely able to contain his glee. “Ava’s infidelity with Denis is the talk of the town. It’s all over the news!”

His eyes turned to Amelia, a satisfactory smile settling on his lips, "when you first told me of your plans to teach Ava a lesson, I honestly never thought you could pull it off. But now my dearest daughter, you've made me so proud!" He praised her.

Amelia’s eyes sparkled with vindictive satisfaction. “Didn’t I assure you, Father? I told you I would make sure Ava paid for refusing to help us. That little bastard thought she could turn her back on us didn't she" Amelia scowled,
