“Ruby, a word.” Alex said as he neared me, ignoring the man who was standing beside me. I looked at him with a scowl on my face.

My initial admiration had disappeared, and now I was just angry. Who was he to just order me around? Is that how to talk to someone you have been ignoring the whole night?
