Chapter 29

I couldn’t keep calm throughout the day, not when I was going to Paris. Like it is Paris! A place I had often dreamed of and even watched. I mean, there is literally a movie called Emily in Paris.

I don’t care how bad it may have gotten; I was still going to Paris, and I was going to gloat about it every opportunity I got.

Only if I had a friend to brag to.

I reached for my phone, thinking to call Cassy, Alex’s cousin, but we haven’t talked since after the wedding, so it would be rude just to call her to gloat.

That is, if she hasn’t forgotten about me.

I decided to keep the joy inside of me; instead, I went about my day, hopping from place to place. The excitement was so great that I couldn’t handle it. I wanted to scream to the whole world to tell them that I was going to Paris, but I am sure my neighbors wouldn’t like that, so I contended with humming under my breath.
