Rejection

I thought someone was watching me so closely, but it turned out that it was just someone a little too good at photoshopping.

“I can’t believe you fell for it.” Alexandro scoffed.

Now then I was almost naked, he didn’t hold me, instead, he gave us some distance and stood by the door. After a few seconds, like he wasn’t comfortable watching me naked, he pulled off his shirt and threw it at me. I broodingly draped it on.

“You let someone good at photoshopping disturb your mental health and you almost got robbed of two million dollars.” He scolded me.

“How did I get robbed?” I asked, not catching on.

“The diamonds,” Alexandro explained.

“Well, it wouldn’t have been my loss. I stole it too.” I shrugged.

“Doesn’t matter. You’re not allowed to get scammed as my wife, or even get scared. I want you to bring whosoever hurt you to me and let me deal with them.” His eyes were pleading as he said the words, they went straight to my heart like arrows and burned.
