Jason slammed his car door and tried to calm down before driving off. He made it clear to his parents that he never wanted to have children after he lost his son Jamie. Jason tightened his grip around the steering wheel before speeding away. His vision went blurry as he drove to his mistress's house.
"Jason?" Celia said as he walked right past her after she opened the door. "I thought we were meeting tomorrow night." Celia poured two glasses of wine and handed one to Jason. He chugged his wine down and poured another. "Calm down, JJ." Jason hadn't said a single word since he got there. The only thing on his mind was his son. He didn't deserve to die. Celia walked towards Jason and tried to take his clothes off. "Let me help you get out of this restricting suit of yours," Celia said as she stared at him with complete lust. "Not now, Celia. I'm seriously not in the mood for this right now." Jason started looking around the room as though he was lost. He began getting flashbacks to the day he found out his son had died. He grabbed the corner of the kitchen island to support himself. "Then why exactly are you here, Jason?" Celia questioned and crossed her arms. Celia was so used to their hookups that it upset her when he wouldn't even touch her. She had tried many times to have him leave Maya and be with her instead. She had a very unhealthy obsession with Jason. He was just too distracted to notice it. "I don't know why I'm here. I should go." Jason tried to leave, but Celia grabbed his arm. "You don't have to go. I could run us a hot bubble bath and give you a massage afterward." Celia ran her fingers up his arm till she got to his tied and slowly untied it. "That's not a bad idea." He smirked and threw her over his shoulder. She let out a giggle as the two went upstairs. Jason got behind Celia in the tub and played with one of her curls. He enjoyed seeing Celia and didn't see anything wrong with it. He never wanted to get married in the first place, so he saw no reason to commit to it. "I love having you here." Jason didn't pay much attention to what Celia said. He just wanted to have a relaxing bath before he went back home. Jason rarely ever spends the night with Celia. He only sees her to blow off steam he had from work or his wife. The thought of seeing Maya upset him. If he could, he would never bother seeing her. "I should get going." Celia turned to him with a disappointed look on her face. She hated it when he had to leave. The fact that he was married angered her even more. Celia wanted him to herself; and she was determined to make it happen. "I thought you could maybe stay the night." Celia tried convincing him. "I can't. I need to prepare for lunch with Maya and our parents. My parents requested that I make my marriage public." Jason tucked in his shirt and fixed his hair before he kissed Celia on both cheeks and left. Celia sat there feeling the anger boil inside of her after what Jason had just told her. She knew she needed to find a way to get rid of Maya, or she would lose Jason forever. "What now?" Jason argued after he answered his phone. Jason got into his car and drove off. "Sorry to bother you this late, Sir but Maya crashed one of the cars into the pool. I'm afraid she may do it again." Jason had just about had it with Maya and all her temper tantrums. She had cost him millions of dollars already; and it didn't seem like she planned on stopping. "For fucks sake!" Jason yelled into the phone. Jason hated taking his anger out on the bodyguards, especially because he knew how hard it was for them to look after that devil of a woman. He would probably increase their pay after what they had to deal with tonight. "Is he on the phone?! Let me fucking speak to that good-for-nothing piece of shit!!" Jason heard Maya yell at the guard. He had many regrets in, but marrying Maya was by far his worst regret. Jason remained quiet for some time as he listened to Maya have a meltdown in the background. He hated everything about this girl. Everything. Except her big brown eyes and her tender smile. "Screw you, Jason!" He heard her scream then everything went silent for a while before Jason heard a car engine. "What's going on?" "Sir, she might drive another car into the pool." The guard informed Jason. "Shit!" He yelled, followed by a deafening crash. "Talk to me! What just happened?" Jason asked in a panic. "She crashed the car through a wall, sir." "What the hell? Make sure she's alright!" Jason demanded. He drove into his garage and rushed to his kitchen to get a shot of whisky. This woman was going to be the death of him. He tugged at his tie to loosen it while he waited for the guard to check on Maya. "She's still breathing, sir but she is unconscious." The guard finally said. Jason threw his whiskey-filled glass against the wall. " Call the doctor and have him check for any major injuries. I also need you to take her to a new villa just a few miles away from the one you're currently at. I'll send you the address, and I'll be there tomorrow after work." Jason instructed the guard and hung up. Never in his wildest dreams did he think such a beautiful young girl could be capable of causing such destruction."Good morning Ms." The guard greeted Maya as she walked into the living room. Her head was still pounding from the stunt she pulled last night. She looked around and realized she wasn't at the same villa anymore. The events from last night replayed in her head, and she planned on doing much worse today."Where the hell am I, Hunter?" She asked her bodyguard. She didn't care much about the other guards. She only cared about Hunter; only because he treated her like an actual person, while the others treated her like an object that needed protecting."Mr King had us move you to a new villa, Ms. He asked that you behave yourself."Maya rolled her eyes and laughed. She didn't fear Jason as everyone else did. The only reason she is still with him is so her little brother can get his treatment."Oh yea? Well, what's going to happen if I refuse to behave?" Maya asked in a cocky tone. She folded her arms and stared at Hunter with her eyes narrowed as if she was warning him not to upset her."Yo
Saturday afternoon, Maya debated whether or not she should do as her husband had instructed and refuse to make their marriage public. What was the worst he could do to her if she refused?"Remember what I told you," Jason whispered into Maya's ear as they waited for their parents to exit the cars.Maya still felt uneasy after what Jason had said when he visited her."Good afternoon, Mr and Mrs King," Maya said with a polite smile. "Oh please, dear, call me Julia, or better yet, call me Mom. You're part of the family now." Mrs. King told her and pulled her in for a hug. After some time, Maya wrapped her arms around Mrs King and tightened her grip. It had been so long since she saw anybody other than the house staff."That's enough now, Mother." Jason hissed. His mother glared at him, and he stepped back. Maya let go as soon as she saw her parents. She ran up to her parents and hugged them both."I missed you guys so much."The family goes to the dining room to enjoy their lunch. Jason
Jason was on a business call most of the car ride back to his penthouse. Maya sat silently and read one of many books she packed. Jason glanced over at her and admired her features. "If you want to say something just say it." Maya told him without looking up from her book. She could feel Jason staring at her but she chose to ignore it until it became unbearable. He just turned away and stared out the window. He had no idea how on earth he was going to survive with her in his house. She had her feet up on the car seat while she read. She didn't care what he thought about it. Once the pull into the driveway she jumps out the car and takes everything in. She thought the villa was beautiful but his penthouse was absolutely breathtaking. She waited for him to show her inside because it would be rude if she just busted the door down and walked inside. "You're bedroom in upstairs, fifth door to the left." Maya doesn't pay attention to anything he was said. She was mesmerized by the insi
The following morning Maya felt sore around her neck but ignored it. She took a shower and as she brushed her hair she noticed the bruising around her neck. Panicked, she grabbed her makeup and tried her best to cover it up. She struggled to cover it up so she wore a turtleneck. Thank God it was winter. She made her way downstairs for a cup of coffee. Jason was nowhere to be seen so Maya assumed he was at work. It didn't make sense to work on a Sunday but she knew he was a busy man. "I'll be there in thirty minutes." Jason said Maya hoped he wouldn't notice the bruises. Though she feared him, part of her really hoped that he would soon accept her as his wife. "Well tell him to wait! If he really wanted to discuss this with me he would have no problem waiting a little longer!" He yelled and dropped the call. "Rough morning?" Maya asked, hoping to score a conversation out of him. Jason ignored her and grabbed a cup of coffee. "Should I make anything specific for dinner?" She t
"You fucking strangled her?" "What? No. I just had my hand around her neck." Jason defended himself. "So you strangled her?" Liam let out a sigh. He had never been this disappointed in Jason. "Barely." "She has bruises you fucking idiot!" Liam yelled. Liam stared at Jason in disbelief. He knew Jason was a bad person but he never though Jason would ever put his hands on a woman. "That's low mate, even for you." Liam told Jason while they went over a new contract. "I fucking know that!, You think I don't know that?" "Did you at least apologize?" Jason bit his bottom lip and avoided eye contact. Liam immediately picked up on it. He knew Jason didn't apologize. "Jason put your damn pride aside, you dick. Go apologize." Liam felt bad for Maya. He had only met her the day Jason married her but he genuinely felt like she deserved better than Jason. "I'll do it after work." Jason never cared about anyone's feelings. As long as he was happy nothing else mattered. "No, you'
A few days later the bruising around Maya's neck had disappeared. She constantly avoided Jason out of fear. On her way downstairs to get breakfast she bumped into Jason, whichwas thelast thing she wanted."Join me." He instructed while he chewed on his bacon. Maya sat down and the chef placed her food in front of her. This was the first time she sat down and had breakfast with Jason. "I'll be working from home today then right after we can go see your brother. Sound good?" Maya nodded her head and they ate the rest of their breakfast in silence. After breakfast Maya went up to take a shower. As soon as she stepped into the shower she felt the hot water running down her body. It immediately calmed her. She took her time in the shower. She shaved her legs and washed her hair with her favourite Vanilla scented shampoo. When she was done, she wrapped a towel around her body and one around her hair. "I won't be available tonight Celia. I'll see you another night." Maya heard Jason res
"Maya, darling!" Celia called out as she pulled Maya in for a hug. "You are absolutely gorgeous, what are you doing with a grumpy man like Jason?" She continued.A very familiar, nauseating scent hit Maya's nostriles as Celia embrased her in her arms. Surely Celia just used the same perfumeas the woman Jason was seeing. Maya tried to convince herself that Celia wasn't the woman Jason was seeing."You're Jason's secretary?" "Yes honey, just call me Ms Clark."She grabbed Maya's hand and got into one of Jason's cars. Maya would have much rather went alone."So tell me sweetie, how long have you known Jason?" Celia asked." Nearly five years." Celia gave her an awkward smile and placed her hand on Maya's thigh."I'm so happy Jason found such a beautiful lady." Maya smiled and removed Celia's hand from her thigh before shifting away from her. "Thank you." "Why are you going to cut your hair? Jason doesn't even like short hair?" Maya suddenly felt uneasy around Celia. She hated all t
Jason punched the wall causing Maya to flinch. "Don't you ever talk about her like that or else-""Or else what Jason? Are you going to put your hands on me? Or throw me on the fucking floor again?" Maya fired back. "What exactly are you going to do this time?"Jason stepped back and stared at Maya. He knew if Maya ever said anything about this his reputation would be destroyed so he let her go.Maya went up to her room and shut the door. A few minutes later she heard Jason leave the house. She grabbed a towel and took a long bath.Maya contemplated telling somebody about what Jason had done but she knew it would ruin so many lives, including Blake's. She wasn't willing to take that risk no matter how many times Jason cheated on her. After getting dressed she heard Jason groan downstairs. She went downstairs to see what Jason was complaining about this time. As soon as she got downstairs she saw Jason covered in cuts and bruises."Jason, what the hell happened to your face?""I got
"I'll be back before dinner, alright?" Jason said, grabbing his keys."Why so late?" Maya questioned."I have a few things I need to sort out after work. It won't take too long, okay?" Jason told her. Maya nodded and turned the TV on to watch a movie.Jason stopped and got coffee for both himself and Liam before driving to work. He had made up his mind about who his new receptionist would be, so he had to give her a call first thing when he got to the office. Right after work, Jason had to meet up with someone to discuss a few things, then he would be able to go home."Coffee?" Jason offered to Liam and sat down. Liam took the coffee and thanked him."I was looking into your idea for a new school, and I'm all for it," Liam began. "It's going to cost us quite a bit, but not enough to hurt us. I checked out the building, and it's actually decent. We just need to fix it up here and there," Liam finished. Jason nodded, and they continued to discuss everything in detail. An hour later, Jas
"Maya!" Skyler screamed, pulling Maya in for a hug. "You look amazing," she added, pulling back to admire Maya."Thank you, Sky. You look gorgeous," Maya complimented back. Once everyone greeted each other, they made their way to the table and took a seat."Maya, Liam was telling me that you're due in about a week or two?" Skyler asked."Yeah, the twins seem ready to come, even though it's a bit early," Maya chuckled. She grew nervous at the thought of giving birth. At first, she was more than ready, but she began to freak out as the days got closer."So, it's just a while before me," Skyler said, even more excited than before."Pretty much," Maya laughed nervously. Jason noticed and changed the subject to calm her nerves."Liam, listen. There's a new project I want to run by you," Jason began. "There's a four-story building that I drove past a while ago. It's up for sale. I was thinking we buy it and turn it into a school. Not just any school, though. A business school. It will focus
"Have you found anyone to fill in the receptionist position yet?" Liam asked Jason, handing him a coffee. Jason wanted to get as much done at work as possible before Maya had their twins."I have two women coming in for an interview later on. So hopefully, by the end of the day, I'll have someone," Jason answered and sipped his coffee."How's Maya?" Liam asked, making himself comfortable. He had finished up most of his work, so he thought this would be the perfect time to pester Jason to allow some time to pass."She's doing really well. We had a doctor's appointment yesterday. He told us that the twins might be born earlier than we expected," Jason mentioned. "It could happen in a week or two," he added."Oh shit, that's really cool. Sky is due in about three weeks," Liam said excitedly. "We should all go out for dinner one more time before we get too busy," Liam suggested. Jason nodded at the idea. It would be great for them to go out to dinner one more time."Alright, I'll talk to
Maya stayed a lot longer at the fundraiser because she enjoyed it. The two got home later than planned, but Maya didn't mind. The following morning, Maya and Jason got ready for Maya's checkup. It would be Jason's first time attending one of Maya's appointments, and he was more than excited about it."Which suit do you think I should wear?" Jason asked, holding two suits in his hands. Maya laughed as she ate ice cream in bed."Just wear sweatpants and a shirt, Jason," she responded.Jason shook his head and stepped closer to her. "Maya, I need to look professional," he argued.Maya shrugged and pointed at the navy blue suit with her spoon. "That one," she told him and had a spoonful of ice cream.Jason nodded and began changing into his suit. "How come you're not dressed yet?" he asked Maya while buttoning his shirt. "You showered two hours ago," he added."I know, but then I got tired," she defended. "And then I got hungry and made something to eat, and then I was craving ice cream,
"Why are you up so early?" Maya asked as she walked into Jason's home office. Jason had been up since 4 AM, planning a surprise for Maya. It would take a long time before it was done, but he wanted to finish as soon as possible. "There's a work function happening today. We're raising money for the Blake Foundation." He said and got out of his seat to hug and kiss Maya. "The Blake Foundation?" She asked curiously. "It's a foundation I started after your brother passed away. It's to help children with cancer. There's an auction today, and all the money goes to that foundation." Jason explained. "I was wondering if you would like to come with me to tonight's event," Jason said. "Oh, I'd love to, but I don't look my best. I'm huge, and nothing looks good on me any-" Jason cut Maya off before she continued. "Don't say stuff like that, Maya. You're beautiful, and you'll look amazing in anything you put on. I'll have my team come in to do your hair and makeup. Then you'll pick out a dress
Maya was woken up by a knock on her front door. The last time she checked, she wasn't expecting any guests. She got up and walked towards the front door while rubbing her eyes. Maya peeped through the hole to see who it was. A smile grew on her face as she noticed Jason standing there with flowers. She opened the door and flew into his arms. Jason wrapped his arms around her and kissed her neck. He pulled back and handed Maya her flowers. "Do you think I could come inside?" Jason asked and smiled. "Oh, yeah. Sorry, come on in." Maya said and stepped aside. Jason walked in and went straight to the living room. "To what do I owe this pleasant surprise?" Maya asked as she sat on the couch. "I just missed you, that's all," Jason answered. Maya blushed and placed her hand on Jason's cheek. "I missed you too." Jason tried to pull Maya in for a kiss, but she blocked it. "Absolutely not." She said with her hand on his mouth. "I haven't brushed my teeth yet." She said and got up. "I don'
As soon as Jason got up, he got a hold of one of his whiskey bottles. He poured himself a few shots before sitting on his couch. As much as Jason was excited to bring Maya home, he still had some sort of pain. Pain he didn't often feel. Instead of spending the rest of his morning sulking, Jason decided to head out and buy supplies for the twin's bedroom. On his way to the store, his phone rang. A smile crept across his face when he saw Maya's name pop up. "Hey, stranger." She greeted. "Hey, Maya." He answered back with a smile. "What you got going on today?" Maya asked. "I'm heading to the store right now. My dad's coming over later to help with a few things around the house. What about you, love?" "I'm just going to spend the day indoors. I was thinking, maybe I'll have a little spa day, you know?" Maya told Jason. "Oh yeah? Maybe I'll stop by sometime, and we could have our own spa day." "I'd like that." Maya chuckles through the phone. "Anyways, I was just checking up on you and
Jason had finally gotten home. As soon as he entered, he could hear Celia yelling from across the house. He was sick of hearing her yap about everything. "Where the fuck were you, and why weren't you answering your phone!?" She yelled. Jason took his shoes off at the door and walked into the kitchen. Celia followed behind him, yelling, but he couldn't make out what she was saying. All he could think about was Maya. "Answer me when I'm talking to you!" Celia shouted and pushed him. Jason turned around to face her before he spoke. "I was with Maya." He answered, staring into her eyes. Celia crossed her eyebrows and let out a loud breath. "So you're cheating on me then?" She asked. Jason shook his head no and drank his water. "We're not together, Celia.""What do you mean, JJ?" She asked in shock. "You're just carrying my child. That's the only reason you're still around. Which reminds me, you need to move back into your old apartment. I can't take your constant bitching and moaning.
"When am I going to see you again?" Maya asked with her arms wrapped around Jason. She didn't want him to leave, but knew he had work to do."I'll pop in tonight and spend one more night." He said and kissed her temple. "I'll have to leave tomorrow, though." "Jason, please don't kill Giovanni. What's going to happen to Gabriela?" Maya asked and let go of Jason. Instead of responding, Jason kissed Maya on her lips and walked out. Maya went to Gabriela's room to wake her up for breakfast. She didn't know what would happen to Gabby if Jason did anything to her father. "Wake up, sleepy head," Maya whispered and shook Gabby. She slowly opened her eyes and tried to adjust them to the brightness. "Where's daddy?" She mumbled and sat up. "He had to get some work done. I'm not sure when he will be back." She lied. How else was she supposed to tell a four-year-old her father was probably being tortured to death?"Okay." She yawned. Gabriela got out of bed and followed Maya to the bathroom,
