Storm
While smoking, I saw Carmen with a bald man and a woman with rainbow-colored hair. Only one girl would be with Carmen: Sawyer Lily Hughes. The sway of her hips in her leather pants and red heels almost made me drop my cigarette. She has gotten curvy in all the right places and is no longer the beanpole we once were. I have to adjust my crotch at the sight of her. She doesn't notice I'm here watching her.
We never should have left her, but we had no choice. At nineteen, we had to choose between prison for murder or joining the Death Kings, a government-sanctioned group specializing in assassination and espionage.
The Death Kings started as a criminal underground organization in Palomino Bay, Texas, known as the Cards Royalty. We were in training for three years with them and then were on assignments.
Now we got to come home finally. Grêle, Louisiana, will be the base of operations for our team. Since the town's name means thunderstorm, we are called Tempest.
The Kings have many groups like ours scattered around. One of them has my friend/stepsister as a field medic. I wouldn't say I liked CHOAS initially, but after seeing how much they spoil Carley, I grew to like them. I learned I could trust them with my best friend, a woman I grew to think of as a sister.
My brothers exit the club just as Carmen and Sawyer climb in a big black dually truck. Jensen has his arms crossed with a scowl on his face. Carter is grinning ear to ear. I have a feeling he got to touch and hold our girl. JT is mimicking Jen, only he appears more hurt than angry. I didn't even let the woman we all love know I was in town, much less watching her.
"Carmen is furious with me. She won't let me explain anything. Sawyer didn't even give me a chance to talk," Jensen laments.
What did he expect? We all gave her up.
When Carter left his facility, he was careful to call Sawyer at night if we weren't working since he had been given her phone number. Once a month was all we could risk, using a burner phone. Carter would put the phone on speaker to hear Sawyer's sultry voice.
"At least she didn't break your nose," JT grumbles. I glance down at his shirt, noticing the dried blood down the front of it.
Interesting. I guess her growing up with us paid off for her, making her rigid and able to care for herself. However, we can't take all the credit since she grew up in the MC.
"I don't know what you two are complaining about," Carter shrugs with a smirk. "I got her legs wrapped around me while gripping that amazing rump. Seriously, she has the best ass I've ever felt." Carter smiles like a smug little prick.
I shake my head at my brothers. "Well, I guess that's better than being invisible," I say, crushing my cigarette under my boot.
"Let's head to the apartment. We must figure out how to return to those girls' good graces. If we don't, they could become unprotected targets for others. We need to keep them safe, which means we need to earn their trust back." I get nods in return.
Jensen climbs in my passenger seat while I get in the driver's seat. JT and Carter get into Carter's orange 1970 Ford Torino Cobra.
Sawyer, we will win you back. After all, you are the Bonnie to my Clyde. You belong with us for the rest of our lives. I just hope our obsession with her won't get her killed.
Sawyer“What the hell Carmen?” I question my second as the door to my office slams open against the wall. She is out of breath, her clothing is disheveled, and it doesn’t look like she brushed her hair. She isn’t her normal put-together self, wearing Jeremy’s hideous clow lounge pants that are peeking out from underneath one of Cruise’s giant tank tops. At least she remembered shoes, even if she didn’t bother with a bra. One breast in attempting to escape out of the armhole.“You need to answer your phone,” she hisses at me angrily. I looked at my phone, noticing it was dead. What if something had happened to the kids? Luckily, everyone knows they can find me in one of two places, home or here at the club.“What’s wrong?” I’m immediately on alert at the sight of her and the fury in her voice.“One of our police officer friends called me. He found my brother in the forensics lab. He had been shot in the back multiple times. He is in critical care at the hospital.” I jump to my feet, my
Razor"You tried so hard to warn him, Carley. Capone blew up just like Jasey boy and his hellie hound." Tears track down my woman's face. Her body differs from the teenage girl I knew. It's rounder, more womanly, and full. "Now, now, my love. No tears." Her face hardens at my words. "I'm not your love. I'll never love you, Derek. You killed my husbands and kidnapped me!" I grin at her, gripping her chin tightly. "I'm going to kill your friends, too. I will be the center of your world. You and the viper bitch will be me to fuck you. You are both going to please me any way I see fit. I will not let my men touch you. You are mine alone. The Viper, though, will be a good little toy from my men. She and Carter both. I'll get that boy back and he'll be my little pet again. The way I broke him, I'm going to break her and your stripper.""Where do you have, Arson? Where's my husband?" She demands, with her pastel hair flying around her. That color has got to go. I release her, moving to gra
JTThere is a knock on my office door. I pause my paperwork, commanding the person to enter. "Mr. Brandt, a guy is looking for you. I left him at the bar because I didn't know if you would welcome being bothered," Dustin says. Dustin is one of my dancers, however, he also works as a server on nights he isn't dancing. The nineteen-year-old has shown he has a great work ethic. He is naïve, quiet, and at first unconfident, but he has gotten better at being bold since he start
Storm"Hello," Riggs rumbles. "Storm? Whatcha need?" "Can you leave?" "I'll have to ask Viper for permission. I can think of several ways I can beg her," he says lasciviously. "I need help. I need you to come and get me. Now," I order him, as though he is one of my men. But he isn't, is he? He is Sawyer's man, and he follows her orders, not mine. "You don't sound alright." "I'm not. Please, hurry." My voice cracks at my plea. The only person I have ever begged is Sawyer, and now him. "Do you know where the reservation is?" "Of course. I've lived here all my life, which is longer than you have," he teases. I can not believe this idiot is aging himself. He is as old as the Death Kings, which is thirty-eight. He is twelve years older than Sawyer and nine years older than me. I believe he and Slater Zen are the same age. "I'll be there. Just give me thirty minutes. Are you safe? Can you do that?" I scoff at his questions with disdain. "I might be blind, but I'm not helpless." "W
StormChaos. Utter chaos and that includes the team C.H.A.O.S. I'm dancing around the fire wearing nothing but my pants in the round tent on a hallucinogenic trip thanks to the dried sacred peyote cactus. There are elders with me today, as we pray for the healing of an ailing child. My prayers, however, are the same as they have been for years…the healing of Kage Raiden, who has been refusing for years to seek medical help. I'm the only person who knows.
Jensen "If know those you must be the Jericho Ryder knows. What is the clever fox up to this time?" I question. "Something he shouldn't be messing in. He is creating super soldiers using the diluted blood of royal infernals and the corpses of the fallen." "What?!" I choke out having inhaled my beer instead of swallowing. Ugh, that burns. "This explains some questions he had on DNA a while back. I didn't think anything of it," I drawl.
