Find Your Mate

Ethan's POV

Years have gone by, and as Beta and soon-to-be Alpha, I have searched my entire life for my mate.

Each day, I grow weaker, my strength diminishing. I stood in front of my window, contemplating the upcoming full moon.

Despite searching the entire palace of the Uranus Kingdom, she was nowhere to be found. I sighed as a knock sounded on my door.

I knew it was my father summoning me. I went to the other pack hoping for good news, but she eluded me once again. He was waiting for my report.

"If I find her this time, I will keep her," I whispered to myself.

"Tell him I will come shortly," I instructed the servant at the door.

Walking through the palace halls, I could see the displeasure on my father's face. He was an Alpha of honor, choosing not to provide a fake mate for his son.

"Good day, father," I greeted, but he did not respond.

"You must find your mate," he bellowed, his voice echoing through the room.

I couldn't bear his shouting in front of the servants. Frowning, I folded my arms in annoyance and walked out in anger.

"Am I cursed? Where is my mate?" I yelled, hitting the wall as I made my way back to my chambers.

I knew my father meant well, wanting to see his son find his mate before joining his ancestors.

He desired to see the future Luna and pass on peacefully as the Beta, next to the throne after him.

"I must find my mate quickly," I resolved.

I stood by the window in my room, taking deep breaths.

As night fell and the stars shone in the sky, I felt a sense of peace.

The full moon was approaching, and I longed to visit the sacred place (Moonlight) where we worshiped the goddess and fulfilled rites.

"I will go there and seek answers from the moon goddess," I decided, even, it was not a place to go anyhow, because a group of rogues dwell there.

Morning arrived, and the sun's rays filled my room. I woke up, stretching and yawning,lost in thought.

Fredrick, my childhood friend and the gamma of the Uranus kingdom, burst into my room, snapping me out of my reverie.

"Hello," he greeted, snapping his fingers to get my attention.

"Oh, Fredrick," I responded as we exchanged our customary handshake.

"Any good news today?" I inquired hopefully.

"Not good news, but a solution to your problem," he replied, raising his eyebrows.

"Tell me about it, especially if it concerns finding my mate," I said anxiously.

"Alright, calm down. I found a sorcerer who can help us locate your mate," he explained, looking nervous.

"I would love to meet this sorcerer and end this search," I agreed, giving Fredrick a high five.

Fredrick, my loyal friend, was always there for me, no matter the circumstances.

"Get dressed, man," I chuckled, urging him to leave so I could prepare.

"That's it. Just wait outside until I'm ready," I teased, pushing him out and locking the door.

I chose a simple robe from my closet, not wanting to draw attention to my Beta status.

I glanced at myself in the mirror, admiring my forest green eyes and red curly hair. Despite my appearance, I was still searching for my mate.

"Let's go," I said to Fredrick as he entered my room.

We left for our destination, and as we arrived, I looked at Fredrick, ready to face whatever lay ahead.

We entered, unlocking the door. The atmosphere in the room looked solemn, with different types of monster creatures and demonic paintings around the entire room.

I glared at Fredrick, clutching my chest to gasp for air. The scent of the room was like that of a dead corpse.

An old man with a long mustache and a beard long enough to reach his leg, and bald eyes appeared, holding a stick.

“You endure to get what you want,” he said to me, noticing my reaction to the room.

“Sit down,” he ordered as we walked over to the flat pillow on the floor. We sat down facing the man.

I could barely see his eyeballs as they were covered with his long eyebrows.

“What issue does the great beta of the Uranus kingdom seem to have?” he asked. I looked into Fredrick's eyes, and he nodded, giving me a sign to explain my issue.

“I can't find my mate no matter how hard I search the entire kingdom. She is nowhere to be found, each time my strength goes weak, Can you help me locate her?” I asked him curiously.

“Keep your curious mind at rest, for she will find her way to you,” he assured me.

“I don't need words of assurance, I need to find her,” I shouted back at the man, my facial expression about to explode.

“Your mate shall come to you soon, but you should not be surprised by what you see,” he said, rubbing his hands together.

A flame of fire began to appear, then ashes appeared on his hand, which he blew into my ears. I was furious at what he was blowing into my ears.

“Calm down, Ethan,” Fredrick glared at me. I was about to laugh out loud because of his ridiculous facial expression, but the man interrupted us.

“This will call you when she is near to you,” he said, and I graciously thanked him as we both stood up to leave.

Before going out he said “There is something special about her, when you see her, keep her! He said, I sighed turning towards the entrance.

Walking out of the entrance, we entered into the carrier.

“Fredrick, do you mind following me to see the moonlight? I asked him, while the carrier was being lifted.

" Huh, you mean that place full of violent rogue” he replied

"I know, I just have a feeling, I want to go and see the moonlight and pray"

Saying those words Fredrick bursted out laughing “Pray, wait till the full moon" he patted my back.
