64. Clarissa

The airport was busy with the sound of rolling suitcases and the chatter of travelers filling the air. Jalen and I made our way inside, following signs to the ticketing counter. The line was long, but we managed to make it to the front after a few minutes.

Once we had our tickets in hand, we headed to the security checkpoint, where we had to remove our shoes and place our bags on the conveyor belt. After passing through the metal detectors, we went to our gate to wait for our flight.

The waiting area was packed with people of all ages, some reading books, others staring at their phones or sleeping. I could feel the excitement and nervousness building inside me as we prepared to take off for our next destination.

I sat beside Jalen, feeling nervous and on edge. I'd always been in the public eye, and I didn't want to be recognized. So I buried my face in his chest, hoping to stay hidden.

But Jalen just laughed, pulling me closer and kissing my forehead. "No one knows us here," he said

I don’t like the way she believed Jalen did it.. Like what’s love without trust .. not even any single benefit of doubt from her end .. when Jalen’s parents didn’t want him to go with her .. it can be his mum
