My hands gripped the steering wheel of my van as I continuously scanned the road ahead, and I listened for any unusual noise in my van.

Knowing who Clarissa's dad was, he could do anything to get revenge. Fortunately, there was nothing to fear as the only sound I heard was because my van was old and not well lubricated. Still, I couldn't shake the feeling that he was out there somewhere, watching my every move. I kept my eyes peeled continuously checking for any vehicle following me or any sign of werewolves, knowing that they were his loyal minions.

I parked my van in the grocery store's parking lot and made my way inside. The cool air conditioning was a welcome relief from the hot summer sun outside and the familiar smells of fresh produce and baked goods greeted me.
