Chapter 111

Laura's POV

One thing I knew for sure was that moving forward, I had to do better and stop hurting the people I love with my reckless actions.

I rose from the bed, spotting my clothes scattered across the room, remnants of our passionate night together as we tore our clothes off each other. Oh, how wonderful it had been. I couldn't help but giggle.

Just then, Nicholas emerged from the bathroom, towel-drying his hair. "Heading out already?" he inquired.

"Yeah, I have some things to take care of today as well."

"I must warn you before you head out," he said, a hint of amusement in his tone. "There are two angry individuals waiting outside to confront you. I ran into them on my way down to get your food. They asked whose food it was, and I had to brief them on what happened and, of course, apologize."
