"Nathan?" I asked Nolan to be sure of what he said, and when he nodded, I froze. Even if a miracle were to happen, Mr. Nathan being alive was the last thing I would ever imagine or even believe.

"What are you saying? Mr. Nathan died seven years ago," I was unsure of my words all of a sudden. Maybe I didn't have a clear memory of what happened, but I was sure that I knew everything.

Mr. Nathan was a guard assigned to my Mom by the late Alpha, my maternal grandpa. After the death of Mom ten years ago, Mr. Nathan was there for me until three years later when he suddenly disappeared and was later reported dead.

"I don't know because this is also confusing. But I'm sure of what I heard. Alpha Kayla is trying to reach him, and I think he has something important that Alpha Kayla desperately wants," Nolan uttered, and I squinted my eyebrows confusingly. What could he have in his possession? I asked myself but couldn't come up with anything, so I gave up.

"Nolan, I need
