MARSAI’S POVThe booming music made everywhere seem interesting and people were laughing and drinking. I could see some people, playing games. So, I was going to miss all these, when we all graduate. I didn’t know that there was so much fun I could have until now. Then Stephen came over to me, when I sat on the stairs, drinking juice.“Hey, Marsai. How do you see this party? Enjoying it?” He asked, with a smile on his face as he held his glass of wine. “Well, it is actually nice. Music, entertainment, dancing, etc. I didn’t expect it to be this fun.” I said, looking at everyone doing what they loved.“So, you are this kind of person that also sees fun in watching others have their fun.” He said as he sat with me on the stairs.“Uhm… I guess. I mean it’s fun to see everywhere lively and then capture the moment.” I said as I cupped my cheeks and my elbow rested on my knees.“I understand this, but you should also be a part of the fun some times.” “Which I have done.” I chuckled, looki
MARSAI’S POVI was shocked to hear it was Tasha who was his crush. I never even suspected that, but why would Sam crush on Tasha, despite the fact that he knows that she is Adam’s girlfriend?“Tasha? A…are you kidding me right now?” I asked, out of curiosity.“Yeah, I am. I do not have a crush.” He said, with a smile as he sat down on a rock, near the river.I chuckled and was relieved that his crush wasn’t Tasha, because that would be disastrous.“You really are a pile of work.” I slapped his back as I joined him to sit on the rock.“One day, hopefully, we’ll get a chance to have a family trip or sort. My brother, I and you. Don’t you think that will be perfect?” He exhaled, looking at the night sky.“Yeah, sure.” I said, dryly.I would have appreciated it if he didn’t mention Alpha Asher in something like that. I was tired of wishing for things with Alpha Asher, because it was just like a fantasy that rarely come true.“Do not worry, things will be fine, okay?” Sam said as he ruffle
MARSAI’S POVMy mouth went agape, watching as she took slow steps towards the beach water. Was she really going to get herself drowned?“No! Tasha, don’t.” I screamed, running towards her.Tears were rolling down my cheeks and then she started laughing hysterically and I wondered if she had gone crazy. Her laughter made me stand frozen in my tracks.“Did you think I was going to attempt suicide, with my best friend here? With all you have tried to do for me? You even did what you would never do, just for me to be happy. I can’t repay you this way, Marsai.” She said as she walked towards me and hugged me tight.I also hugged her tight because I was really scared for her. She had also taken a spot in my heart and I would feel really devastated if she killed herself, especially because of a man who certainly loved her, but was just going through a lot at that moment.“Don’t ever make this joke again, I was really scared.” I said as I hugged her even more tight as I couldn’t bear to welco
MARSAI’S POVMrs. Phillips looked really annoyed when she called our names. In fact, this was the first time I was seeing her look this angry. Tasha and I stood up, wondering what we had done to get this reaction.“You both sneaked out of the school yesterday. What gave you the guts to try that in this school, uhn?” She lashed out at us, with her hands on her waist.Tasha and I were speechless and couldn’t say anything. She must have found out when she noticed we weren’t in class and she probably checked on us again.“Who brought up that stupid idea to sneak out?” She asked, with her right eyebrow raised.“I.” Tasha and I both said in a chorus and I looked at her, shocked.Tasha gave me an expression that meant I shouldn’t try taking the blame.“You know what, the two of you, I will take 5 marks out of what you have earned and then your punishment is to clean the toilet, down this hallway, during break. And after break, I’ll check them. It has to be very neat.” She said, sternly, look
MARSAI’S POVI was happy that Sam had forgiven him. I loved his personality as he was quick to forgive. He probably just wanted me to realize his mistake and that was certainly the reason he reacted that way.We went home, holding hands happily and when we got to the palace, Alpha Asher was already in the main compound, with his hands to the back. He looked at Sam and Sam nodded his head, lightly and left me. I wondered what Alpha Asher had to say to me, since that time when I had painfully asked him to stop hurting me, we had not had a conversation. Now, it was weird that I was in his presence and my heart was beating rapidly and I couldn’t look at his face, either.“How was school?” He asked, staring at me, with no particular expression seen on his face.“It was good.” I replied, trying not to stammer. “Alright. The school informed me that you will be going on a journey with your partner, just for research.” He said, looking coldly into my eyes.I was really frightened and couldn’t
MARSAI’S POVHearing that made me open my mouth wide in shock. Was Stephen, gay, all along?“Are you kidding?” I asked, covering my mouth in surprise.“I am serious. I am not kidding about this. I just started having a thing for guys, after accepting the fact that no girl would want me.” He said as he stroked his hair backwards.“Oh, come on. That can’t be. You shouldn’t think that way. You really do not have to think that way.” I said, looking at him in the eye.“Well, for now, I guess I am gay.” He said as he kept walking.“I am certain you’ll find the girl for you, soon and then you’ll realize that it isn’t Sam you have a crush on.” I said, trying to help him change his mindset, because I could sense that he has not fully accepted that fact of being gay.“If you say so.” The next day, I woke up and went to the beach water to watch the water and then someone tapped my back. I looked back and discovered it was Stephen, he was smiling at me and I wondered what put him in a good mood
MARSAI’S POVI entered the portal and I was back to my senses. This was a world of creepy looking demons. I was bound by chains and dragged away to their meeting hall or whatever that was.“My lord, we were able to get someone this time around and she is a werewolf, fortunately.” One of the demons said and bowed his head.Fear gripped me and I didn’t know what to do, I couldn’t even fight for myself and it wasn’t certain that Stephen knew where I was. “What’s your name?” Their lord asked me, with a poker expression.“I…I am M…Marsai.” I responded, with my fingers shaking.“Good. Take her to the dungeon, we shall bring her out to the open ground tomorrow morning.” He instructed, then cleared his throat.“Please do not kill me. I beg of you, please don’t.” I said, in tears as they dragged me away to their dungeon. They pushed me in without caring if I was feeble or not. Alpha Asher would be really disappointed that I still wasn’t able to protect myself. I was really weak and could not
MARSAI’S POVWe went back to the hut and I was filled up even without eating. The joy of finally being released from the grip of those scary demons, made me happy. It was night already and all that we needed was a good sleep. Stephen went to bed first and I held his hand tight, so that nothing else would easily take me out of this hut again as he would know when I am leaving the hut. I fell asleep and then I had a terrible dream. There were demons running after me, they wanted to kill me and Stephen wasn’t around to help me this time. Then I fell and they brought out sickles, ready to dig my flesh out and that was when I woke up, sweating profusely. It was morning already and I woke Stephen up.“I think it’s time we reach out to your uncle.” I said, feeling happy inside that we were finally going to leave the forest.“Alright. He lives somewhere on the lone road, before this forest.” Stephen said as he rubbed his eyes.“Okay, let’s leave then.” I urged as I stood up to pick my things
MARSAI'S POVI could not believe that we had just failed the task. I didn't know what fate had in store for us, after this. Then I noticed that the ghosts looked as if something was communicating to them, then they looked back at us."You failed the task, but you have been graced. You will leave now and will be transported back to your destination." The first ghost said, then snapped his finger and in the blink of an eye, we were at the Benitoite forest."Thank goodness. We made it!" Alfred raised his hand for a high five, which we did. Then we began to walk around the forest, trying to search for the gem."It's really hard to find the gem. It is so rare and I guess that is the reason most people are after it.""Of course. These gems generates a huge amount of money for those in possession of it. They know very well that people covet it, so it is sold at a high price." Alfred said as he continued to search around the forest."I think we need to take a break. I'm kind of feeling tired.
ALPHA ASHER'S POV"Who are you?" I asked out of curiosity."I am a seer." She replied, with no emotions on her face."A seer? Really?" It was good news as she was a seer, because I would be able to get an answer to the burning questions I had right now. "I have a question to ask, please answer my question for the sake of the time that we have spent together." I pleaded, earnestly and this I did, because of Marsai and because she was a seer that wasn't under me."Alright, go on.""Someone I love was abducted a few days ago and I need to know if she is still alive." I asked, hoping she was still alive. Then her eyes turned white and she went silent for a while. I had to wait for a while until her eyes turned back to normal."I saw that someone you love is still alive, but there is trouble looming around." She said as she looked around."Do you know how we can prevent it?" I asked out of concern and worry."Only your presence can prevent it. I will take my leave, right now." She said a
ALPHA ASHER'S POVThe snakes came in different sizes flying at me and I immediately tried to run but fell in the deep sand. The snakes landed on the sand close to me and I immediately brought myself up to my feet and tried to run. It wasn't easy, running in the deep sand and the snakes were faster since they were in their element. One flew at me and I swatted it away, another flew right at my face but missed me by just an hair's breadth.I ran looking back at my unrelenting pursuers. It was something I couldn't bring myself to believe."It's all an illusion, they're just playing on your mind. You have to get out of here fast before you get caught! " I said to myself to give me the confidence I needed."Surrender! And stay here forever!" The voice of the lady boomed and although I looked in all directions, I couldn't find her."Stop this! I didn't plan for any of this!" I shouted as the wind picked up and it became hard to see.I had to close my eyes as the sand was flying all around
ALPHA ASHER'S POVA few days had passed and it was hard to stay in a room, starved. But the lady and I had gotten close a bit. Although, the normal would never speak to her to that extent, but this place was weird. You would do things you never thought you would ever do."Now it is time for the second phase. You will enter the illusion room and when you fight the illusion, you will be transported to where you wish to go to." The first werewolf announced, looking at each and everyone of us.We were ready to go into the illusion room and I feared for my new friend, because I found out that she usually was scared over things easily, but there was no way I could go on this journey with her.I also hoped that I would be able to conquer whatever the illusion brings to me and I kept reminding myself that anything that happens there is not real. I just needed to wield through. I hid the fear that could have shown in my expression, so that the lady would be encouraged to face it on.“Remember
ALPHA ASHER'S POVI went into the forest and tried to pick up trails, but I didn't find any and I decided that I would start checking different kingdoms and small packs to check for Marsai. Although, that would have been easier if I took a few warriors, but this would be as a punishment to me for the bad I had done to Marsai. As I kept walking, I fell into an underground and I groaned. I didn't expect to fall into anywhere, but then as I looked back up at the hole I had fallen into, it was covered already. What problem had I entered into again, I didn't know, but I was fed up with the different, tiring things that kept happening.I decided to walk where the path led to and it seemed like there was no end and then I noticed someone was somewhere not far from me. All along, I could see a figure with my side eye, but I didn't think too much about it until now that I was frustrated that I had been walking for what seemed like hours now. Then I looked to my side and saw a man, dressed in b
MARSAI’S POVI woke up and my eyes felt heavy. It felt as if I had been asleep for a few days, which I wondered how that could have been possible. My eyes stinged as I tried to open them, and then I knew I had to be patient for them to be able to adjust to the light. After the struggle for over a few minutes to open them, I was finally able to and I saw a lady, looking at me and beaming with smiles.“Who are you?” I asked as I sat up, scared of what she was going to do to me.Although, I wasn’t that scared, because she had a smiley face and she didn’t look like she was going to hurt me. “I am not going to hurt you. Just stay calm.” She said, with a smile and gestured with her hands, like she wants me to calm down.“Then who are you?” I asked as I curled up on one part of the bed.“I am Flora and I am a maid in this pack, who is assigned to serve you and assist with whatever you need.” She introduced herself, with a bright smile.“A maid? As in mine?” I asked, out of surprise.“Yes.”
ALPHA ASHER’S POVWhen I announced that we were going to have a combat, I noticed that Marsai’s expression changed, like she was uncomfortable. She was probably scared that she can’t fight well, but that was going to be the beginning of her training. It would be best if she knew how to fight for herself in case of times that she was alone and someone wanted to hurt her.“Hey bro, I’ll like to see you.” Sam said, staring into my eyes like he had a lot to say.We both went to my quarters and when we got to my room, I sat on the couch and laid back on it.“Alright, I am all ears. What do you have to say?” I said as I crossed my legs on the small table in front of the couch.“Well, I am certain that you would have taken a wild guess. I am here to talk about Marsai and you need to take this, serious.” “Alright, I am ears.”“I understand the fact that you really do not know how to let out your emotions, even when you want to, but I think it should be possible for you to reduce the way you
Marsai’s povAfter the contest, my tummy began to grumble and it made me feel uneasy. Have I eaten too much or I ate something wrong that wasn’t cool with my system. My tummy rumbled again. It seemed like I had already stuffed too much in my tummy and I was ready to visit the powder room, in order to feel better. On the way to my room, I met Alpha Asher and it seemed as If he wanted to say something, which I was curious to hear about.“Well, I want to talk to you about a few things.” He said, looking straight into my eyes. But as much as I wanted to hear what he was about to say, I could not hold it in any longer. I needed to use the toilet as soon as possible and it would be so embarrassing if I started farting.““I’m sorry. Can we talk later? I think I have to visit the powder room.” I said, looking uneasy. Before he could say any other word, I dashed off to my quarters as fast as I could, because I could not bear it any longer.Immediately I got into my room, I went to the toilet
MARSAI’S POV“Alright guys. Till we meet again.” Some people said as we all parted. It was a nice time which we had together and it made me feel depressed that the school where I had most of my lit memories had now come to an end. What was I going to do now that school has finally come to an end? I was not going to see Tasha five times a week anymore, although, it was possible that I would be able to see her, once in a while, which was obviously not enough.“Hey, Marsai.” Tasha called out to me, with tears, welled up in her eyes. She hugged me so tight that I understood why she hugged me that tight. We were no longer high school students and it was no longer certain when we were going to see anymore.“When next should we meet, Tasha?” I asked, trying to comfort myself with the next date on my mind.“I am afraid that we may never see anymore, except when we visit. Adam is moving to another faraway kingdom and my family has agreed that I go with him.” She said, looking sad.My heart bro
