36. Love Was Really a Strange Feeling

What Denise was experiencing right then was the fear of uncertainty. She knew that she was a nobody (not that she had ever let that stop her from wanting to become somebody) and she couldn't be with Ansel.

There were a lot of 'ifs' and'what ifs'. This fear was

what was making her want to refuse Ansel's proposal as early as now before she got in too deep.

What she didn't realise was the fact that, the fact that she didn't want to disappoint Ansel by marrying him and then making him find out that she was a disappointment and she wasn't what he was looking for in a wife, all meant one thing: she was head over heels for him already and he meant the world to her.
