Caroline felt like she had lost something very important to her.

"Alright then," Caroline said. "Then let's see each other tonight."

After Marietta ended the call, Caroline put her phone down dejectedly. Actually, she had gotten the feeling long ago that Marietta would leave Easton. She never expected her to leave so soon.
