Quentin was worried about Caroline when he learned about her encounter with the gangsters.

"It's fine. They have been arrested. It just doesn't make sense that so many of them did this for money, so I want you to help me look into this."

"Sure."

Quentin added, "Oh right! Have you contacted Adrian recently?"

Caroline froze at the sudden mention of Adrian. "No. How is he?"

"He's busy working his ass off." Quentin laughed.

"Apparently, he wants to become more successful before returning to meet the love of his life."

Caroline felt her heart skip a beat. Hastily, she looked out the window. "I-is that so?"

"Caroline." Quentin sounded serious all of a sudden.

"If you're the one he's after, what would you tell him?"

"I …" Caroline pressed her fingers to her temple and fell silent.

A moment later, she sighed and said, "I'll probably tell him to lead a good life alone and that he shouldn't sacrifice anything for anyone at all."
