Chapter 416

When Adrian woke up the next day, he thought Caroline would still be depressed, but that wasn't the case.

She had slept well and was in high spirits. She didn't look troubled at all. Adrian somewhat admired how quickly she had recovered.

"Where are you guys going today?" Adrian pretended to be worried.

He said, "I haven't bought a ticket yet, so I guess I have to stay in Macovo a little longer."

Gwen joked, saying, "Is it because there are no flights to where you want to go? Or is the internet here so bad that you can't even buy a ticket, Mr. Sorkin?"

Adrian guessed Gwen probably noticed something. So he looked at Gwen kindly and said, "You're right. It's both of those reasons."

Gwen pursed her lips.

Caroline didn't notice the confrontation they were having. She replied, "The main purpose of our trip here is to help Gwen find witnesses, so we don't have plans just to hang out.

"Adrian, if you want to go sightseeing, you can ask the manager for a local travel guide."
