Fear

A brand new day.

Rain inhaled, the scent of roses being the first thing that catches.

Monday.

Her face scrunches up and she shoots up from the bed like a fucking bullet.

No, it wasn’t the scent of the rose but the fact that it was already bright out and she hadn’t even taken a shower.

“What happened to my fucking alarm?” She said as she squinted her eyes and tried to get used to the rays of the sun that seeped through the curtains and brightened up the room. She couldn’t find her phone, it made her wonder if it was because she was still half asleep, she stopped searching for it with a tired sigh.

Rain walked groggily to the bathroom, put toothpaste on her toothbrush and started brushing her teeth.

Shamefully so, Rain wouldn’t admit to anyone that she woke herself up three times while she brushed.

Damn.

Her reflection looked terrible.

She looked like she’d spent the previous night drinking every alcoholic beverage in the house.

But no.

That wasn’t the actual case.
