Last night, I went to bed, thinking about what Jennifer told me. I sit on the floor and glance over the room. I can’t help but wonder how these girls sleep in this place that is filled with bugs and rodents.

My skin itchs as hell. I scratch my arm and moan softly at the feeling. The time should be between 4 am and 5 am right now and within a couple of hours, the normal routine will continue again.

I am not looking forward to meeting a new face today. I don’t want to and that brings me to what Jennifer told me last night.

If truly all of us here were sold, who would dare sell me to these people? I am just an only child with few friends from college. My friends' parents are rich, so they have no reason to sell me. Same goes with my fiancé, Zane. He runs his father's jewelry business and he is rich as well.

My mom wouldn’t sell me either, she is married to a rich man as well.

I sigh softly and rub my forehead with my fingers. Nothing makes sense to me anymore. I am going crazy.

I heard the sound of the heavy locks on the metal doors and immediately sat up on the mat. The sound of these locks signifies the beginning of another tedious day.

I look to my side and see Jennifer rubbing her eyes. No one wants to be wakened by the slashes of Madam Terrific whips. I still remember the slashes I got in my earlier days here. When the whip touched the skin on my back, I remembered peeing on myself. It was hot and excruciating, slashing your skin like vegetables.

The usual inspection began and everyone went mute. I’ve seen two girls, stolen materials such as bread and a knife were found in their possession. One of them never returned and till this day, I don’t know what happened to her, and the one that returned, she was a living corpse.

My heart has never felt this calm before but I have nothing to fear right? I don’t steal. I don't break the rules.

The woman stopped by me, asked me to get up and I obeyed her instruction. She searched my mattress and the sanitary bag we were all given. I become more relieved when nothing is found in my possession.

“ Turn around,” she said sternly and I obeyed. Who am I to disobey Madam Terrific minions?

“ Stretch your hands forward, “ she instructed and I did as she said.

I feel her hands roam from my legs up to my shoulders. Touching my private parts as if something was hidden in them.

“ I found it!” She yelled and my heart leaped into my throat. My hands tremble as I turn around to see everyone’s gaze on me. I glance at Jennifer and she has the same look as them. That judging look.

Fear cocoons me. Sweat breaks out of my body as the madam approaches where we stand, her eyes blazing with fury.

I fall to the floor as her dry palm connects with my cheeks, sending a stinging sensation down every part of my body. I become deaf for a minute and my pupils dilate as my lips parted but no sound leaves my mouth.

“ Argh!!!” I scream as I am pulled up to my feet by my hair.

I grit my teeth and stare at the face of the witch who is fuming with fury before me.

“ The clumsy damsel who broke her plate last night. I see..” she drawled as she pulled my hair harder, earning more screams and whimpers from me.

My scalp burns as I feel my hair ripping away.

“ How dare you steal the kitchen key?” She growled.

“ I swear. I didn’t steal it!” The words left my mouth.

She pushed me and I landed face-flat on the floor. I groan and start creeping away but I am pulled back by my leg, my face scratching the concrete floor.

“ Take her to the misery room,” she commanded and I was pulled up and dragged away from the room despite my pleas.

I am stripped, leaving not even a lace on my body, and thrown into a red room. I stagger forward trying to adjust my sight to the bright red lights that are dazing.

Two women grip my arms aggressively and spread them before locking my wrists in cuffs above my head. The same thing is done to my legs. My hair plasters against my face as my head dangles downward while I pant erratically.

Begging at this point won’t save me from the torture that is about to be leashed on me. I know that. This is a little of the pains the girls go through when they are brought in here.

“ where is the gagging ball?” Madam Teriffic demanded and I whimper. My heart races in my chest as the thought of what they might do to my body drives me insane.

I watch with my heart in my mouth as Tara approaches me with the gagging ball.

She fixes her gaze on me and I look into her eyes, searching for something that isn't there. These people are monsters. I am stupid for expecting her to be different.

“ Open your mouth,” she instructed, her eyes dark under the light as they sent unspoken warnings to my being.

My lips parted slowly and my eyes widened as the ball filled my mouth.

I watch with wide eyes as they mix some portions on the table. Terror runs through every fiber of my body. The thought of what they are planning to do to my body has sent me to hell and back to earth. I don't want to die.

“ I'm sure you must have been thinking about what  Terrific plans to do to your body,” Madam Terrific began in her usual stern tone and I blinked my eyes, blinking the tears away.

“ Ava, you can't blame me for your predicament. Can you?” she asked, her lips curled evilly and I just stared at her as saliva drooled down my jaws.

“ you should blame your fiance who sold you to us for some thousand bucks,” she said casually and my eyes almost popped out of their sockets. I try to say something but I can only groan.

Zane would never do that to me. He wouldn't sell me. He loves me!

“ I know what you have going on in your head. Do you think your fiancé can’t sell you? Get rid of that thought girl. Zane sold you. He signed the papers. So if you want to lay curses on anyone, lay them on Zane. I am only doing my job,”

Tears blur my vision as her words rip my heart into pieces. It’s like a thousand knives have been pushed into my fragile heart. The pain is so excruciating, making breathing so difficult.

“ I’m glad I don’t have any child. I don’t have to worry about them going through this or karma coming for them. This is one of the consequences of falling in love and thinking life is a fairytale.” Her words fell on my ears but I am lost in my pains. Lost in this shocking revelation that I will never accept.

My eyes close tightly, my body wriggles and my bladder gives me away as a pepperish/hot sensation surges through my body.

My stomach tightened and my legs trembled as the gel on my vagina became hotter and hotter.

“ one thing is to survive here. Another is not to steal or step on Terrific’s toes.

I feel my hands fall freely and I crash to the floor, rubbing my body on my urine.

The gag slid out of my mouth and a heart-wrenching scream left my mouth, my heart panting erratically, my body drenched in sweat.

“ If I die, I will hunt you, Terrific !!!”

My eyes become heavy, my breath slows down and the cold darkness welcomes me into its cold embrace.
