One thing Odessa learned being enmeshed in that godforsaken pack was concealing her scent. Not many wolves knew how to retain their scents and not many knew how to eavesdrop on supernatural creatures without being caught. Odessa was a graduate in that act and she wasn't ashamed to admit it, it came in handy every time, like right now as she stood in front of Oswald's door, ears close to the door as she listened in to the voices inside, a male and a female.

She would have thought he was cheating on her but Odessa knew she hit the jackpot at the words that fell out of their mouths.

"He's not to be trusted, mother," She recognized Oswald's voice and her brows narrowed in complication, wondering who he called mother when she was a thousand percent sure Luna Yaletha was outside with the others, under the full moon, holding a mating ceremony, which was why she wasn't afraid to be caught on the act. The pack house was empty except for Oswald and his 'Mother'

"Oswald!"Gwen calculatedly took a step back as the Alpha got closer. She took a quick peek at her back, where everyone was having a good time among themselves. She looked back at him and ceased striding backward. There was no way he would be able to do anything with so many people huddled and she had nothing to be frightened of. What he had as an alpha didn't work on her.Oswald sniggered and put his hands into his pockets. "Hello Gwen, you look pretty under the moon, especially that hair of yours that glistens and showcases your beauty," His hand reached out to touch her red hair but Gwen shifted and he smirked. "Come on, I'm only trying to make a conversation and I was wondering if you have agreed to my offer of being my mate and being the future Luna of the world's strongest and biggest pack,""I'm not interested, perhaps you should go look for your mate," Gwen dismissed with a grimace, suddenly wanting to swat the cocky demeanor out of him. Gwen didn't know what to anticipate when she strode into the pack kitchen with Syrin to get something to eat but she certainly didn't expect Tatiana and Seth to be there with Tatiana trying to feed Seth a bite of cake.Gwen firmed up and Syrin gave her a curious look, noticing the conspicuous change in she-wolf's scent and the way her hands fisted at her side as she scowled at the couple under her eyelashes. Syrin didn't think this delicate-looking she-wolf could release such pheromones of covetousness. Seemed like, looks were really deceiving, but at the same time, it was regaling.Seth froze, catching a whiff of that ambrosial scent that always keep his wolf on the edge, however, it wasn't sweet as he remembered, it was embittered and horrible for his system. His gaze promptly snapped to the entrance. "Guinevere!" His tone came off apprehensive and he moved forward but Gwen slowly retreated, putting distance between them and in a wink, she turned and sprinted. "Gwen!" Seth called, c

Gwen waddled around the kitchen, assisting Luna Yaletha with cooking for the millionth time. One might think why she kept coming back when there was plenty of work to be done, work that most scamper away from, like those omegas who would incline toward withstanding those gehennas routine with Onyx than help in the kitchen. They seem to shirk they were still Omegas as much as they try to thwart and control it. It was their nature to submit. Gwen would have thought an Omega couldn't defy an Alpha till she met Onyx and got flabbergasted.Gwen beamed to herself, thinking of the hardcore Omega. "Gwen,"The she-wolf hoisted her head at the sound of her name, her smile magnifying and her hazel eyes radiating at the sight of Syrin striding into the kitchen with an empty glass. "Syrin!" She clamored, a bit too jovially.Syrin grinned, approaching the she-wolf standing at the other side of the kitchen island, mixing a large bowl of flour. "Perhaps it's destiny, we keep returning to each other
