Blood Awakening Chapter 17: Captured, again?
It was evening when they stealthily moved against the protective walls of the Caruso pack's territory. Beta Mellow had warned Lachlan that the alliance had put guards of their own in case he will go back with Maridelle. They cannot pass the gate safely even though his pack remained true to him.
The alliance—that is comprised of representatives from wolves, humans, and vampires who stayed true to the pack—cannot believe the delay Lachlan is doing. People are clamoring and constantly complaining about the slow process of capturing the culprit. They highly believed that once the culprit got punished the insurgency will be put to an end. Disappointed, the alliance got their hopes diminished on Lachlan as well as the trust they had on him. Of all the members they expected to get things done, Lachlan is on top. He got the most horrible past with the vampires. However, with what he is acting, the table seemed to turn.
Blood Awakening Chapter 18: Say it, MariIn the darkness, two pairs of silver eyes glimmered like a pale full moon, staring at them intently, burning them like the fires of hell. Their hearts went wild and the pounding is ringing non-stop.“I can take these two,” Sebastian uttered arrogantly, full of self-confidence and ready to attack. The two wolves growled in a low tone, suppressing their anger, but are ready to attack any moment. One wrong move is all that it takes. They are looking at Sebastian with disgust. They shifted back.“Alpha, who is this?”Chello was referring to Sebastian who couldn't hide his surprise when the twins did not attack them. The twins remained faithful to their own Alpha, who in all the years, had never wronged them.Lachlan shifted and had used the garment the twins gave. “Just an annoying nobody.”“Alpha, you are not safe here. The alliance is against you. They dislike the delay you are making with the prisoners. Nyx...she told the alliance about the enco
Blood Awakening Chapter 19: Attack and EscapeLachlan scurried to meet the others who are in their respective places in the chamber. He faces them with fret.“Ready yourselves. We need to get out of here. ”His voice is serious.“What happened, Alpha?” Lily who is sitting adjacent to Amari asked.“Beta Mellow had informed me that the alliance received a tip that we are here; as a result, they had sent more of their people in my territory. Staying longer will put us in danger. We might run into trouble so better be prepared.”“You must be spying on us.”Chello is accusing Sebastian who is leaning his back against the wooden door of the chamber.“Nonesense, wolf!”Chello casted a death glare on him. Sebastian who seemed not bothered, smirked.“That's enough. Twins, I entrust you the safety of the women. You got to escape no matter what. Beta Mellow and I will face the alliance.”“Commands are clear, Alpha,” the twins said in unison.“And I'll go with them.”Sebastian volunteered. Protec
Blood Awakening Chapter 20: The Vision of the Nemesis Light has no room to exhibit itself inside his territory. Darkness with no comparison prevails inside the four corners of his chamber. Old and wrinkled, but never changed. Hodor, the ruling king of the vampires, sat on his throne, eyes closed. On his right hand is a goblet of wine.“Your highness, I am sorry to disturb you,” said an entity on her knee, kneeling before her King. His eyes are still closed. “Vamoire, speak of whatever you have for me this time.” The tone of his voice remains of that ancient times, majestic and authority oozes from every utterance. With no hesitation, Vamoire spoke, “You're favorite nephew.”Slowly, his eyes opened. He had adjusted his self on the throne, resting his back on it. Everything—all about his nephew interests him.“Carry on.”“He started acquiring human blood again.”“Vamoire, we are
XXl: Blue-Eyed Wolves Devastated. The Caruso territory is filled with fear. Lachlan has shouldered the blame for what happened. If only he arrived earlier, or if only he did not left, he wouldn't be witnessing the unfortunate circumstance. He will be able to at least protect his pack. But, the damage is done.Beta Mellow approached Lachlan who is watching sky from the view of his balcony. “Alpha, we had secured the vicinity. I had found out also that those who are behind it weren't able to get deeper into our territory. But, everything is perfectly planned. They had chosen the spot where there is lesser guards on duty on a specific time.” He breathed deeply. “I am sorry for this failure. It's my fault.”“I accept your apologies, beta Mellow. Next time this won't happen again.”“Of course. I will do my part to assure that.”Lachlan's face went serious. He has been composing the following words with deliberation considering
XXll: The Alpha Is Jealous Maridelle has completely shrugged Alpha Grego's stare that made the hair on the back of her neck stood up. She shared it to Lachlan only to know that the news of Lachlan finding his mate, had reached Alpha Grego. He was just looking at her amazed that finally Lachlan had found her mate.Maridelle got embarrassed for she thought that Alpha Grego is planning to hurt her; that he smells her mother's blood. She mistook the stare.“Looking pensive.” Sebastian interrupted Maridelle's train of thought. He sat beside her on a bleacher overlooking the huge quadrangle. She casted a deadly stare on him. “Go away. Find another bleacher to sit on.”The Blue-eyed Wolves pack territory serves as a shelter and simultaneously a school for their children. Today the pack is having a weekly training to help the young wolves to master wolfing out; to forge a strong bond with their wolves. Lachlan, volunteered to hel
XXIII: He's Jealous Again Lachlan, since the day he saw Sebastian and Maridelle, has never taken his eyes off his mate. He waited for years to find his Luna. There were even times when he thought, he'll disappoint the whole pack for not giving them a Luna to look up to. Many times, he was challenged by the fact he is mateless; now, that he found the one destined for him, he won't let her go. He keep on tailing on her. Wherever she goes, he will be there just to prevent Sebastian getting near. “Mari, I just want to talk about something.” Maridelle, who is munching a sandwich for lunch, had put it down. “What is it?” she replied to Lachlan sitting on the chair in front of her. “You are not eating something. Something's wrong with your appetite, Alpha?” Maridelle is very concerned. She noticed Lachlan has been spending a lot of time with her. During those moments, she never saw him consume food. A sweet smile showed itself on his face. “I'm fine. I just want to say... actually I am
XXIV: Who's Jealous Now? After a tiring search, Maridelle managed to find him in the hallway quite a distance from the cafeteria talking to a hot brunette. Probably a she-wolf on her mid-twenties. She wears a short mini skirt. Her legs deliciously flaunted. The buttons of her polo are threatening to rip. It's not because it is undersized, but because her boobs are extremely huge. She converse closely to Lachlan. Maridelle stood still few meters away from them. She can clearly see how the girl seductively touches Lachlan's biceps. And Lachlan is just letting her do that. Her hand turned into a fist. Though, she is still basically as human, she can, with the burning sensation raging within her, can put her to her place. Maridelle composed herself. “Excuse me, may I speak to Alpha Lachlan?” She was polite. Good thing her nursing profession had taught her to stay calm and showed her what composure is like when facing a challenging situation. Maridelle is thankful she learned it or els
(25) XXV: SerenadeLachlan's eyes sparkled like a twilight hitting on the surface of the sea; it glimmers like the sunbeam on the morning dewdrop. A smile that is sweet as a honey appears that it wanted to be a denizen of his glowing visage.“Did you really say it?” Alpha Grego, sitting crossed-legs before him, couldn't believe when Lachlan narrated he wanted to court the person mated to him.“Yes, I did. This kind of thing is making me nervous. I never courted someone. Like she-wolves would willingly offer theirselves and do what I want just to satisfy me. You exactly know what i meant, Alpha Grego. This is definitely different.” Lachlan took the seat in front of Alpha Grego. “You got to help me.”Alpha Grego burst out of laughter. “Seriously?” He cannot control his laughter. Beholding Lachlan in a serious desperate state pleading for a recourse is absolutely amusing.Well, as an alpha, it's sort of their problem. She-wolves would do the first move. It's like a food served and is all

Days after the bloody encounter of the two opposing sides, the storm has subsided; the enemies has been defeated and although, the damage has been done so greatly, Alpha Lachlan and Maridelle as well as the Alliance has almost recovered from their wounds and from the effects of the encounter. They had returned to their respective abodes and pack, enjoying their triumph.“How are you?” Maridelle said as she neared Alpha Lachlan who has been looking at a distance in the balcony of his chamber. His thoughts are wandering along the memories of the yester days events. All the hardships that they have been through, the enduring, the loses, and the pain; the smiles, the tears, the camaraderie, and betrayal. He tilted his head to see who it was; his lips curved upwards upon seeing Maridelle. Her face is bruised and she's wearing a white cardigan to conceal the rest of her wounds and bruises. However, her countenance belies her appearance. Her aura is brighter than ever. Alpha Lachlan slipped
All of Vamoire’s power is on both of her hands that is pinning Maridelle’s head on the ground. “Die!” Her hands are trembling, seething. But to Maridelle, she had completely forgotten about her own fight. Vamoire notices it and wonderingly followed Maridelle’s stare. She chuckled devilishly upon knowing the reason. “I had changed my mind. I’ll postpone your death a little longer.” She pulled Maridelle’s hair, positioned it better to face the merciful situation that Alpha Lachlan is in and ruthlessly uttered near her ear, “That wolf that you love so dearly is going to die before your eyes. I’ll make sure you’ll see how Jek will tear him to pieces. Then the demise of your companions will be next.” She takes delight on the images of their enemies’ bodies lying lifeless before them. “Then I will kill you.”Vamoire has painted the scene so vivid that the next time Maridelle lifted the lids of her eyes, the red fiery color of its orbs were disclosed. This time those eyes are tinted with th
Nyx has received the report and she was quick to disseminate it. As what she has received, everyone especially his twin brother was informed that Hodor’s forces has been accumulated and is advancing towards one common location, the City of Hilwood. They need to get there first before them. “I can feel the end,” Lucia murmured in nervous breathing. Beside her is Alpha Lachlan who is also busy preparing his double-edged sword. “Hodor’s end. Let’s make that certain,” he suddenly replied. Lucia stopped strapping the special guns that are able to fight against vampires on her side. “How sure are you about that, Alpha?” she whispered to him, making it sure that it is only his ears that is going to hear her. Around them is a bunch of busy warriors whose spirits are being awoken in the last minute; still unprepared to fight even though a scarce amount of time was given, but it feels like it was only meant for them to have a stretching and not the whole exercise. Lucia is beign careful not
One vial of Maridelle’s blood is resting on Hodor’s hand. He took it from his pocket awhile ago. Actually it had never left the comfort of his pocket since the time he took one from Vamoire’s laboratory. His palm encloses the vial as the door opens. “Tell me some good news.”There is a wide grin forming on Vamoire’s visage. She pranced along the aisle, closer to Hodor’s throne. “Everything is doing really great accordingly to our plan,” she reported enthusiastically. “We are gaining controls over cities and towns and their fucking Alliance and all their forces are nothing compared to ours.”The news delighted him. “And the monsters and newborns? Are they doing well?” He wanted to assess the magnitude of Maridelle’s help. “Of course. That bitch had done us a good favor.” She smiled bitterly as her thoughts wanders from the moment she lost her pretty appearance because of her blood. It made her even angrier knowing Maridelle had survived the death they had offered to her. Hodor noti
Hurried and nervous knocks reverberated at the other side of the door. Without a waste of time, it was opened immediately disclosing to both Alpha Lachlan and Maridelle the Alliance and all who builds it. Nyx was quick to inform them about the news and the progresses it had already taken. She kept her gaze downwards while walking behind her Alpha who had entered with his authority and bearing. The silence that occupied the entirety of the whole room after they had stepped in sends cold shivers to Maridelle. Their feet halted just a meter away from the center where Lucia is standing.“She should be punished!” contemptuously scream by one of the Alliance’s member right after determining who their visitors are.His jaw tightened, fist clenched. Though he knew that is the best thing to do to Maridelle, for some reason Alpha Lachlan detested the idea. It only means she will get hurt. He held her hand and gently pressed it to tell her he got her. Maridelle remained gazing on the floor. She
It undeniable that the first being he would see right after opening his eyes is her is the best feeling he had for the past few months. Alpha Lachlan took his time to savor the moment as if everyhting is in peace. He slid his arm around Maridelle’s body, pulling her closer to his. Her back is facing him and his skin could apparently have the pleasure of her soft delicate skin; his nose is tickled by her body scent. There was a soft giggle coming from her. His lips neared her ear. “Good morning,” he sweetly whispered. Maridelle turned around and nuzzles on his chest. “I love you.” She smiled. He could not hide the happiness he felt; even his wolf gave a soft howl letting him know that he felt the same. A broad smile appeared on his visage; his eyes glimmer like the stars sprinkled on the pitch-dark sky. “I love you too,” he replied with all his heart, kissing her on the lips; but then the joyous moment has to be ceased. He needs to keep in mind the war Hodor poses. Regardless the mom
They drove along the dangerous road leading to the place where Alpha Lachlan was trained to lead his pack. Any time, their car could be susceptible to the rebels roaming around. The peace and order has been completely neglected. Lucia was so angry upon knowing that the Altamonte pack had kept the crucial information to themselves. She had almost used her wrath to destroy the pack if not only Alpha Lachlan did not convince her to analyze the situation cautiously. The Altamonte pack is the only pack that has fully prepared against Hodor’s forces. The bigger fight is not betweem them and so it has been decided to have a ceasefire and work together against Hodor. “We are almost there,” he informed her. She nodded, her eyes landing on the blurring scenery outside the car’s window as their vehicle paced fast. “Everything will be alright.”“No. It won’t,” she replied despondently. Not wanting to talk all over it again, Maridelle rested her head on the cushion of her seat and tried to doz
It was Nyx who first reacted after the shocking event of seeing Alpha Lachlan entered the Caruso pack with Maridelle at his side. The whole pack was stunned to witness the two together after the known dispute between them. Most of the eyes that landed on her figure are full of detest, apparently showing their anger of attacking their pack.“Ho-How?” Nyx asked; she is following her twin’s lead towards his chamber. “It’s hard to explain, Nyx, but I want you to prepare a getaway car and some essentials,” he commanded. “I need it ASAP.”He opened the door. Beta Mellow was already inside the chamber and so is Amari. Maridelle remained gazing only to Alpha Lachlan’s feet to guide herself on where to go, obviously avoiding any eye contact. Beta Mellow and Amari stood up as he entered the chamber. “Beta Mellow,” he called him. When he is certain that he got his full attention, he continued speaking. “Prepare the pack. All our warriors must ready themselves for a bloody war. There is going
