Wynter woke up to the sound of monitors beeping beside her. A fresh wave of dizziness hit her as soon as she opened her eyes, and her head began to ache as it tried to adjust to the sudden flash of light.

"Miss King, you’re awake?" Wynter's doctor said, noticing that her eyes were open. She wanted to step out and inform Wynter's family about the news, but she decided to speak to Wynter first to assess her condition.

Wynter stared at the doctor, and as she adjusted to her surroundings, her first thought was about her child.

A sense of fear crawled into her mind, and she quickly placed a hand on her stomach. She breathed a sigh of relief when she realized that her baby was safe.

"Is he alright?" Wynter quickly asked, wanting to confirm with the doctor that everything was okay.

"Yes, Wynter, the baby is fine," Doctor Linda assured her. "Do you want me to inform your family now, or should I do that after we have a small discussion?"
