Chapter 61. The Plot Continued.

Eva grinned and opened her eyes when she felt a cold hand on her face which was followed by a slow and thoughtful kiss on her lips. She had forgotten she slept in her father's house.

She was startled when the face she saw was not what she expected to see. She quickly pushed him away and sat down on the bed.

She was tired because she slept off very late. She yawned and stretched herself before looking at the figure that stood before her. He was not smiling at all.

"James! You are here," Eva said, caressing her eyes which looked weak. "Please, sit down," Eva offered him a seat beside her.

She stood up from the bed and worked towards the bathroom to wash his face and mouth, wondering why he had the look of resentment on his face.

She came out of the bathroom and sat beside James. None of them were saying anything. Eva became uneasy.
