Eva drew in deep soul-drenching drafts and began to walk slowly towards him. She stood and stared at him when she got close to him.
She climbed the bed, straightened his legs, and knelt in between. She was surprised he did not protest nor tried to walk her out of the bedroom like he did the last time he cried over his mom's disappearance.
Eva took the picture from him and glanced at it with a heavy heart. She hid it under his pillow after looking at it for more than sixty seconds.
She brought his head closer to her and rested it on her soft bosom. She felt his hand slowly moving up from her lap to her waist. He held her tight when his hands found her waist. She could feel his heart beating unsystematically.
"I'm sorry, Julian," Eva whispered, care
Eva went for a walk in the garden after her morning chores wearing a cute look. The smell of the flowers in the morning before the sun came out gladdened her heart. She walked slowly, taking in everything from the patches of blue sky visible through the trees to the flowers sprinkling the garden floor. The smell of the flowers and the gentle breeze took her mind off the menstrual-like cramps she had been having as a result of the copulation with her husband. "Hi," a male voice said behind Eva's back. Eva turned and waved at the stranger that was smiling at her. "I'm Rowan," the stranger grinned, stretching forth his hand for a handshake. Eva forced a smile and accepted his handshake. "I'm Eva." "Dave told me Julian has just one domestic staff; I guess you are the one," Rowan said with a smile. "Who are you?" Eva asked. "I am the new landscaper. I have come to take over from you," Rowan said looking around the mini-stadium. "I can't believe you mow
Julian had always known the name of Eva's modeling agency, but he had not really looked at the name. The presence of James and the 'J' that was added behind Eva's name made him feel like demolishing the agency. He beckoned to one of the logisticians at the entrance of the company when he got out of the elevator. "Please seal the whole place up and come along with the keys when all the employees are out. They will deliver my message to you," Julian said as he walked angrily out of the building."Come to where, sir," the logistician asked, running after him. "My house" "Okay, when, sir?" "Your co-workers will pass my information to you," Julian responded. Julian and Hazel drove silently out of the building. Hazel fixed her gaze on him, probably wondering why he was so annoyed. "I hate that guy! I get very annoyed each time I see him," Julian muttered. It was as if he knew what Hazel was thinking. Hazel took a deep breath and looked away. "Wh
Eva sat on one of the chairs in the laundry room, thinking about what Julian told her and how to avoid it. Just like Julian said, she never believed the first would ever happen. She became scared of herself.Eva cast her mind back to her days in the University; all the people she had encountered. No one had ever whirled her like Julian's presence did to her.She couldn't imagine herself running away from Julian, because she felt at peace each time he came around. She felt safe and protected in his arms the night he came to the garden and took her away.A call came in on her phone, calling her attention back. She quickly picked the phone up. She thought it came from Julian, however, it was from someone she really wanted to talk to."Hi, Dad," Eva said coldly."Hi, Lollipop, are you okay?" Richard asked, probably, he detected the quietness that was in her tone."Dad, I'm fine. How is mom?" Eva asked."She is fine, you don't want to ta
Deep pangs of loneliness cut through Eva as she walked around the garden. She never knew Julian's absence would have so much impact on her.It was as though the connection was missing in her life. She fixed her gaze on the phone she had in her palm, waiting for Julian's call. Her mind began to wander. Julian liked women a lot, probably he was with a lady in his hotel room, screwing his brains out. Eva concluded in her mind. The sour thought that came to her mind made her very angry. The more she tried to get the thought out of her mind, the more pestering it became.Eva impatiently pulled her drifting thought back and continued staring at the phone. The longing to call him came so hard on her, that she dropped the phone aside and began to walk around the garden, cutting some leaves.
It was another productive day, and Eva woke up with a beautiful smile on her face. Her father would be visiting today. She could not wait to see her father. She walked straight to the bathroom and had a long bath. She thought about Julian and the attitude he displayed last night. Eva became worried again. She ambled down the stairs and walked to her previous bedroom where the new girls lived. Eva knocked gently on the door, recalling the day Julian sent Kanha to wake her up in the early hour. One of the girls opened the door and looked at her with bleary eyes."Good morning, '' she said, caressing her eyes. Eva waved at her with a grin."Wake your friends up. Some people are coming here to see me and we need to make a three-course meal for them. Hurry up and meet me in the kitchen. The young girl nodded and went back inside.Eva looked at Rowan's room as she walked towards the main building, there was nothing inside. He has gone already. "Good mo
"Do you want to talk to James?" Richard asked. Eva shook her head. "Why?" "Dad, I can't...I'm so ashamed of myself." "You need to see him before Julian comes back.""Okay, dad." "Be honest with him, tell him everything." "Dad, I need your help. We need to find Jack." "Who is Jack?" Richard asked. "The chauffeur that left with Sophia's body. Julian wants to know where he buried his mother.""Honey, you know he is a Mexican right? And probably, has gone back to his country. I don't know where to find him." "He thinks his mother may have survived the incident. Only her grave would convince him she is dead." "He is right, but I can't find Jack." "Dad, check your records, his contract might still be with you. I believe his personal information can be found there." Eva said. "Honey, you know I can't do this. The files are too many." "Okay, I'll come to your office tomorrow and go through all the files. I must see a copy of the cont
Eva stood behind the floor-to-ceiling window that was in their bedroom in her bathrobe, admiring the trees as usual. Looking at the beautiful flowers on the trees, a sense of love for the entire world enveloped her. She began to wish Julian was there with her, admiring the wonderful view with her. She became grateful to the universe. A feeling of satisfaction took over. Eva picked her phone up when it beeped as a result of a text that came in. She checked her phone, and the text message came from Julian. She tossed the phone aside. Julian told her to get ready for a video call with him. He also directed her on how to switch some pixel diffusers mounted in the bedroom on. Eva followed his instructions and switched the lights. Since Eva noticed he admired her a lot, she decided to give his eyes the best view ever. She walked into the closet and chose one of her best nightclothes. The see-through spaghetti straps off-shoulder nightgown was quite a see-through. She s
Eva drove out of the mansion the next day to her father's pharmaceutical company. ReM pharmaceuticals was formerly known as ReX pharmaceuticals before Richard changed it to ReM, bringing in the initials of all the people in his family. Eva proceeded to the elevator after pulling over at the parking lot. Her father was not in his office when she walked in. "He is in a meeting with some stakeholders," Jessica, the secretary, said behind her. Eva looked at her and sighed. She had not forgiven her for trying to seduce James the day he followed her to her father's office. That day was the first day James followed Eva to her father's office. He sat on one of the seats at the front desk, waiting for Eva who had gone inside to inform her dad about James's presence. Eva came out of the office and caught Jessica sitting close to James with her fingers between her clavicle and her breasts. She went back to her father's office and reported her, however, her father did n
