Chapter 18

A deep sense of loneliness and longing to see James took over Eva when all Julian's domestic staff left. The mega-mansion looked deserted and everywhere was as silent as a graveyard. 

Chirpings from birds that perched on the trees within the surrounding area could be heard clearly. Eva felt she was in prison already. 

She needed someone to talk to, but there was no one. 

She was scared of dogs, however, she was happy when Dave told her she would take the dogs out for a stroll every morning. That would be her only opportunity to meet James and talk with him. 

All the equipment she needed to put the house in order had been handed over to her. She was also taught how to use the equipment. 

She sat noncha
