28. Forest

Ravi surveyed his surroundings, finding himself oddly situated in a forest adorned with towering trees. His bare feet tread on the damp ground, crunching over dry leaves and remnants of the recent rain. The scent of foliage and the brisk air directly brushed against his skin as he glanced around, yet he remained clueless about his current location.

Where was he? Once again, the question echoed in Ravi's mind. Why did he wake up in this forest?

"Raymond?" Ravi called out loudly, still unable to spot Raymond's figure amid the trees.

No response from the Raymond he hoped for. Only an empty air embraced his body in the increasingly piercing night. Ravi could only hear the noisy echoes of his breath and the footsteps as he quickened his pace. The feeling of being watched in the darkness, with just the moonlight touching his skin, sent shivers down Ravi's spine.

"Raymond?" Ravi called out again, refusing to give in to the increasingly ominous forest.
