I would prefer drowning in the sea or the well or even under legos but not this!
"Clara! Clara!! Where the heck are you?" My best friend, Jace opened the door to the laundry room, searching for me frantically.
I have been trying to sort the pairs of socks which made me go deep in the pile of laundry. Yes, I am dirty and smelly now.
I hate laundering.
I took a deep breath and pushed myself out of the pile, "What is it? I'm trying to survive laundry games here."
Jace stared at me wide-eyed and burst to laugh. Best Friends Right? Worst best friend ever.
He dragged his feet to where I stood, removing a sock over my head and shoulder. "What?" I glared hard at him, though it was pretty useless.
Why? I got a baby face, making me look younger than even my age and what's my age? Hold on... I forgot.
"When will you stop pranking everyone in the packhouse? Don't glare at me, you brought this upon yourself." He laughed, pulling me out from the disaster.
"Yeah yeah. I just wanted to have a tiny bit of fun. You know how I'm trying to do everything on my bucket list before I die." He pushed me back in the pile, pissed at my reply.
I use the term death as a normal term because I'm not a werewolf to live for a century or whatever. But my best friend always hates it when I do it. He doesn't accept I'm normal, which I quite agree to since I do very risky things all the time. I've even been mistaken as a hunter by a new packhouse member. I don't blame them though. It's just in my nature.
It also gets a bit brutal at times.
"Stop that. You know hearing that will kill me before you." He glared at me as I tried myself up. "Anyways, alpha told me to fetch you for another mate search lineup."
"Again? Oh, com'on! I don't have a mate. Will they stop lining me up whenever another pack of alpha comes to search theirs?" I grabbed Jace's shirt and pulled myself up, ripping it a bit. "Hey! Get your hands off my shirt." He swatted my hands like I was some kind of disease. But then, I have been ripping his clothes all the time. He's like a supporting pole for whenever I trip.
"Shall we go?" I grinned, wiping my hands at my apron.
He nodded, taking me out the door but then halted in his steps making me collide with his back. "Please put up a red signal before you stop." I rubbed my nose.
"Wait. Are you going to go in that?" He eyed me, scrunching his nose in disgust.
"I don't have time to take a shower and change, also I have to get back to this laundry again. So too lazy." I smiled sheepishly, giving him a thumbs up.
He rolled his eyes at me, ignoring my comment and walking ahead before muttering, "I hope the others don't die because of the smell you're giving away."
I mocked him behind his back and moved my legs to grudgingly follow to the place I've known very well for the past years.
The session of sightseeing mates (that's what I call it) was somewhere away from the packhouse, deep in the woods.
Werewolves love forests, I do too but when I'm alone, no thank you. I would rather stay in bed and binge-watch old shows and laugh like a maniac.
"Alpha Gray will kill me if you're not on time there."
"That will be a sight to see." I laughed.
We went deeper, passing the headquarters for special meetings. Usually, anybody with a lower rank doesn't know this but I killed a cat out of curiosity.
"Alright, go stand there. Hurry before you make a scene of yourself." He nudged me forward, pushing towards the beeline of unmated people.
They all stood by this ancient tree which is the signature of our landmark. It's been known to bring good luck, that's why the mate search session happens there.
I stepped forward but slammed my face on the tree. "Owwie!" I exclaimed, pressing my nose.
"Freak! Go now." He pushed me towards the end of the line. I rubbed my nose, standing in the queue of mate dating.
Okay, I exaggerate a lot.
The girls beside me pinched their noses in disgust. "You could've at least taken a quick shower." Brunette, grey eyes, and petite figure, Janice taunted me.
She's my other best friend.
"Too lazy-"
"Your laziness will drive the alpha away. Remember we have a strong smelling sense?" Janice said, gagging at the smell.
"Oh yeah! Pfft, I forgot. Jace was fine with the smell though, he didn't comment anything." I said, standing proud.
"He probably blocked his nose before coming to you." She squeaked, fixing her already perfect style. "The alpha is here. Stand straight and bold."
"The chant I have been learning since I don't know how many years," I mumbled, purposely slumping.
"Shoulders back, Clara." She corrected me and I unwillingly listened to her.
I waited for him to come closer to the end of the line so I could get back to my work but lost my patience and looked to my right.
I wanted to do a mic drop right there and then because he was drop-dead handsome. That perfect jawline-
"Manners, Clara." Janice scolded me, making me stand like a robot.
Either I work as a princess or a robot. She didn’t let me gawk at him, ‘cause let’s face it, I wouldn’t get this chance again after adopting cats and living with them for my whole life. Single for life but not lonely.
I heard his footsteps closing up to me and I smiled forcibly.
He stopped right before me, widening his eyes. A smile came up to his lips, loosening the stiff expression on his face, which honestly looked hot, as he registered the words I thought were only possible in werewolf fiction.
"Mate." He growled and that's the moment I remembered my age.
"Ah yes! I'm 20. Took a while to remember it." I chuckled, getting distracted by my popping up memory.
I could practically feel Janice, Jace, and Alpha Gray facepalming.
The room was tense as nobody spoke a word. Even the elders seemed shaken by the recent information because who would've thought I'll rob McDonald’s?I clearly didn't but I did eat all those burgers on credit. Not my fault that the owner trusted me.But that wasn't the only matter which made them totally silent and not even communicating through the mind link."This is good, right? Clara finally got a mate." Janice said, breaking the silence and trying to shoo away the tension in the atmosphere.Alpha gray looked at her, signaling her to not talk. I, for the first time, felt wordless. For a fact, I hardly knew about my parents. The pack members did say a few things about them but it just didn't feel right. It felt like there was something missing even in that bit of the story. So either, they're in deep thought of unbelieving that I'll finally go from here or they are just thinking about how I ate so many burgers one at a time."If you all are thinking about how I ate those 30 dozen bur
"Think hard and tell me again," Janice said, persistent to make me say what she wanted to hear. "No. Nada. Definitely not. I didn't feel any sparks, only warmth, and sweaty hands... also how do you know what spark feels like?" I asked to which alpha gray groaned and Janice slapped her forehead at my question. "Honestly, is it some kind of electric spark or a pinch?" I continued. "Can someone please kidnap her!?" Janice cried out in exasperation. She has a way of making things way dramatic than it’s supposed to be. I don't have a problem since I always sit back and watch her go crazy around me. "How about a pull?" Alpha gray asked. "What kind of pull? The elevator one or a magnetic?" I asked, trying to get a clearer picture of it. It probably sounds annoying but I wanted to know how it feels when you're next to your mate and which can also clear the confusion that my supposed mate was telling. "Magnetic... I think. I haven't met my mate yet." Janice shrugged. "Whatever it is, I
"Whaa?" Alpha Ivan asked, shoving a berry in his mouth as I kept staring at him in astonishment. One hour ago, he was a broad intimidating handsome man and now, a cute panda. Almost a panda because that tummy got abs instead of a big bouncy belly."Are you choking to death or you're just trying to eat everything at once because it's tasty?" I asked, still surprised and idle in movement. He held up his finger, indicating to wait as he munched on the strawberries he had them squished in his mouth. About a minute later, he gulped, shoving berries in his mouth."What? I eat when I'm stressed." He murmured, turning away back to the view of the balcony.I had to l
Clara POV"Farewell, my dear." Janice said, being dramatic as always.
"This is bad, this is bad- No, This is worse. Probably, the end of the world. More like the end of my world." I blabbered, pacing in my new room that wasn't appealing. It was black and the fact I was reminiscing my moments with my mother-in-law didn't help at all. It felt like the darkness was galloping me.
"What does this mean? Getting in trouble on the first day, Luna!?" The principal shouted at me, annoyed, and wiping his sweat off. "I can explain," I said, hoping he would spare me.
It wasn't a shock that I saw a dream as strange my own unknown species specification but this one grew chills on my spine and I gasped, bolting upright. That only seemed to make my head spin. I groaned, hitting my forehead to smack away the dizziness.
So last night was horrible. I believed I would turn into pizza if I really thought about it. I tried thinking about something else and ended up with Cookies that everyone loves. After I shifted, I was feeling really uncomfortable and pleaded to my wolf to bring back my human form. Yes, I begged. I didn't know how to do any of the things my wolf knew about.
It's Sabrina here!!Bizarre Wolf has officially ended! Woohoo! I'm kind of sad but also happy. This story went through so many changes when it stayed in my drafts to the point where I officially published it and ended it. It's a big achievement.Firstly, I would like to thank all the readers who supported this story till the end. I always appreciated the comments that you all left and used to read them when I was demotivated to write this story. And especially for sticking till the end, I am really happy to see you guys still reading it.Now, I know this story was a huge beginning for me. It went through many trials and errors. It still needs most of the editing to make it a perfect novel. If I ever get the chance in the future, I'll surely edit it.You know Bizarre Wolf was a lot different. I probably had the idea of this story around 2016. I don't remember but it was around when I started writing stories. This final plot was decided in 2020 and it eventually got published.Lastly, I
Evelyn's POVI think Xavier likes to die instead of live. Yep, that could be it. He's just pretending that he wants to live. Yes, that's the thing. "Eve?" Xavier called out, a bit hesitant."Are you crazy?!" I lashed out. "Die by one of her spells? In the end, you do want to die!" I should've known. This man loves to die. What a man!"No, no! That's not what I meant it. This curse didn't go away even when she died. So it only means I'll have to die and revive back, just so that the curse can cancel out." He explained. And it all went above my head."What is this? Esmeralda part 3? You are going to revive back like her?" I, then gasped as I realized. "You! I'm not gonna get pregnant like that again!"He quickly grabbed my shoulders, shaking his head. "No, no, no. That's not what it is." He sighed."Look, I never found a way to break this curse even after all those years of searching the books or ruins. The only way was Esmeralda willing to break the curse."I frowned. "So you're just
Only 1 chapter to go!! It's finally going to end tomorrow!! •◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇•Evelyn's POVThings escalated quite fast. Though a month had passed while I was in a short period of coma, it still felt like it's been a week since I was chasing down Xavier and catching him.And here I am, saving Xavier instead."Why aren't you in hiding, Eve!" Xavier shouted after I've managed to free him from getting strangled."A thank you would've been nice to hear." I retorted.I was fuming. Why? Because all that chasing, painful memories, past unfolding truth, and yada yada stuff ended up bringing back Esmeralda. I was not in the best spirits to be a warrior right now.Fighting her is like going through a melodrama series."Clara, I said no!" Ivan was trying to push her back but Clara, to no avail, obeyed him.She was determined to get those property papers signed."Also, hiding me was the worst choice. You can't run away from me anymore. Face me or I'll make you face me." I added after dodging Esmeralda
Only 2 chapters remaining, guys!!•◇◇◇•Evelyn's POVWhile I was conversing with Silver and uncovering the real nature and truth of Xavier's, a barging sound startled me.My eyes widened, backing away towards the corner. Another sound was followed by a possible dent forming in the wood that I was behind. Did Esmeralda find me? Crap, I didn't plan on how to beat her though. Not another minute to think, the wood pieces shattered and there was a hole in it. I didn't dare to look through it, guessing I met my demise."Eve? Psst?" Huh? That voice sounds familiar. Before I could react, a big piece of wood was ripped and thrown away, giving me full exposure to who did it."Clara?!" I asked, bewildered."Yeah, it's me. Why were you hiding in there?" She helped me out and I noticed the room was covered in dust and cobwebs. "How did you find me?" I asked, looking back at the tiny place that I thought was possibly a box but it was under the flooring."Xavier sent me a mind-link message statin
Evelyn's POVDarkness. All around me, there was nothing but darkness.Walls and roof close to me without needing me to walk or stretch my hand. My eyes adjusted to the darkness and my werewolf vision let me make out the structure. It looked like a box around me. For a second, I tried to guess whether it was a box or not. It was not.It was pretty cramped in this rectangular-shaped place. My legs couldn't stretch out straight and I had to fold them while I stayed idle."Ugh..." I grumbled. My hand dropped on my stomach which was back to being flat. Weird... baby bumps don't flat out in seconds. Must be because of the magic Xavier used.I sat quietly, trying to listen to any noise from outside with my werewolf senses but it was dead silent."... I need some entertainment," I mumbled, getting bored in seconds."You're acting like Clara." Silver finally spoke with me, surprising me."... Are you Silver?" I asked, suspicious that my brain may be playing tricks on me.She sighed. "I'm so
Evelyn's POVWhy was I sleeping for a month? Did I fall into a small coma?"I know you have probably lots of questions but right now, it's impossible to answer them." Janice quickly added after informing me that Xavier had come to visit with the gift of attacking."So why am I here? He's obviously after me, I suppose so shouldn't I be where he is?"Janice blinked, puzzlement evident on her face, "Why?"I sighed. "Wait, oh-" I looked at my stomach and it already formed a medium-sized bump. "I'm still pregnant-""Oh yeah! About the baby. Doctor Ruby was going to abort it since you weren't waking up and that's when Xavier attacked the pack borders and the plan was delayed.""If Doctor Ruby took such a step then it means this baby isn't a baby." I was pretty laid back. Why? Even I don't know. As much as I remember, I cried to Clara about having to give up on this baby and the baby not being real until I fell asleep. And now that I woke up, I want this to end. "Baby isn't a baby? What doe
Evelyn's PovI thought I would hear the sound of whiplash but it went dead silent. I hesitantly opened my eyes, finding no such replay of his memory.I sighed in relief, standing up, and looked around. I was scared to witness something horrible again. I have a hunch that Xavier went through much worse.Silver was not answering, Xavier was still out there and I was pregnant with a child who would bring me to the brink of death."I want this to end," I mumbled.I turned around, tired of getting trapped in this endless subconsciousness. However, they also revealed much more than I thought I knew.I heard a rippling sound and frowned, whirling back I found Xavier standing with his head drooped. My heart skipped a beat and I cautiously took my steps towards him. He didn't move or react as I stood by his side. His eyes felt lifeless. I whispered. "Xavier...?"He lifted his head, looking at me- more like looking through me. He looked like a living corpse."Evelyn...?" He muttered, his voice
Evelyn's POVI stared at the ceiling of our pack house clinic, realizing two things. One, I'm back in the pack house. Two, Xavier tried to kill me by starving my body!Just then Clara startled me, "Xavier didn't try to kill you by starving. It's something else."I eyed her suspiciously, seeing how she was back to supporting him like she used to before as well. "How would you know that?" I asked, noticing my voice sounding slightly hoarse.Did he not drink water too?"Ah, that! Jace brought the witches' book- don't know about the title, it was some weird gigantic words- so I tried out one spell from it because I was curious and he ate a lot when he was in your body."I blinked in puzzlement. "You were able to chant a spell?""Yeah, I got some witch blood in me. It's very slight though. The thickness is more of werewolf genes."Ah... that explains. Well, Esmeralda is her relative so it's a possibility."Wait... aren't you supposed to be in your room until brother lets you leave?" I rais
Hello! It's been pretty long, I know. I was not at all publishing and hardly worked on my other book (Babysitting my wife). I don't really have excuses. I couldn't spare some time to write while being completing my college. But I'm here with this note, because I have good news. This book is going to end soon. There are only 7 chapters left to finally end the second part of this book and it will declare the end of Clara's life story.I will be making sure I publish those 7 chapters in this month so I can probably start my other werewolf story. The plot for my other werewolf story is pretty complex but it's very good. Something different from what I've always written. The main character won't be anything like Carefree and funny Clara. I'll leave the story name here : "Rogues house."Please do Read it when I publish it. Now back to Bizarre Wolf, there's a lot I want to say for this story. It went through many changes but I'm glad I was able to publish it officially. Anyhow, it's close
