Chapter 35 - Punishment

"I am not kidding, I will kill you." She said sternly while fear engulfed her whole body.

The man raised his hand which was holding the knife and she closed her eyes immediately in fear waiting for the pain but it didn’t come. Rather she heard a loud sound like someone falling.

After a few seconds, she opened her eyes to see the man lying lifelessly on the ground. Her eyes traveled to the person who beat him mercilessly in a few seconds.

It was none other than Jai.

"Jai." She whispered, called him and immediately hugged him, wrapping her hands around his waist.

She burst into tears and was also relieved to see him.

"Don't cry. I am here. Nothing will happen to you." Jai said, rubbing her head, trying to calm her down.

He made her sit down on the bed and rubbed her back.

"How come you are here?" She asked, sobbing.

"I called Akriti didi, to know how you are. She told me to come and check up on you as you are home alone." Jai said, holding her close to him.
