Jarren's POV
“Jarren.” I turned and saw my grandmother.
Walking over to her, I looked around. I hadn’t been here before. Nothing looked familiar. Everything was a shade of calming blue.
“New place?” I asked.
“Well, I have to keep it interesting.” She responded. I nodded. “Your father told me you needed to speak with me.”
“I do, but not here,” I said, gesturing to the dream surroundings.
“Then when? He said it was important.”
Jarren's POVAfter we finished eating, we went into the living room to watch a movie. The girls decided on ‘Alice in Wonderland.’ We sat there and watched the movie. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. It was actually pretty good.“Now what?” Kaileeh asked after the movie was over.“Let’s go shopping,” Sage suggested.“You want to go back toward home to go shopping?” Rian asked with a raised eyebrow.“Nope. The other way,” she told him.“The closest town that way is over four hours,” Garret informed her.“The closest hum
Jillie’s POV We walked into the store, leaving the boys outside. We followed Kaileeh over to the corsets. She picked up a red one and held it up.“This is cute.”“That is ugly,” I told her. It really was hideous. It was red with lime-green stripes. What person in their right mind would like that, but then again, this was Kaileeh, and anything that resembled Christmas, no matter the time of year, appealed to her.“Why would you need that anyway?” I asked her.
Jarren’s POV When we got back to the house, Jillie and I carried her bags into the room. I was still pissed. I dropped the sacks on the bed and walked over to the closet. I took a package of blood out of the refrigerator and poured it into a cup. I put it in the microwave and started it. Once it stopped, I took the cup out and downed it.“Better?” Jillie asked.“Honestly? Not really. I’m still ticked.”“It’s okay.”“No, it’s not,” I told her.“Alright,” she said, walking over to the bed. “How am I going to get all of this in my suitcase?” she asked. I knew she was trying to change the subject.“Pick the things you really want to take back with you and hang the others in the closet,” I told her.“You make it sound like we’ll be coming here often.”“If that’s what you want.” She smiled before taking clothes out of the bags. “Are you hungry?”“A little.” She responded.I walked over and kissed her forehead. “I think I’ll get Garret, and we’ll cook dinner.” She nodded befo
Jillie’s POV I watched as Jarren got up and made his way down the hall. I could tell he was still a little upset about what happened earlier today. I’d have to talk to him tonight about it. It really wasn’t a big deal, even though she pissed me off. His defending me made him look like the bad guy, and that’s something I never wanted. I turned my attention back to the game, and it was my turn. I only had about seven cards in my hand, and if I played them just right, I’d have one left after this turn. I lay down the three skips, so it was my turn again. I then lay down the three reverse, so now it was going the other way, and it was Kaileeh’s turn.
Jarren’s POV She lifted her hips and moved her pelvis against me. It was more than I could stand, and I had to pull back. I looked down at her, and her hazel eyes were clouded with lust. I’m sure mine were probably the same. She leaned up and kissed my chin, then my neck and chest. I closed my eyes, taking deep breaths. Her lips left my chest, and I looked down at her. She was so damn beautiful. No creature I’d ever met was as beautiful as she was to me. I dipped my head, and my lips went to her jawline and then trailed down to her neck. I gently kissed and sucked on it before going up to nibble on her ear. I made my way back to her neck and sucked gently. I moved my lips back to hers. She pulled away and took one of
Jillie’s POV We’d pulled into Jarren’s parent’s palace after dropping Garret and Kaileeh off at his house. I’d always just thought they all lived together until Jarren told me differently on Valentine’s Day. I was in complete awe as we walked up to the front doors. It was huge, and the landscaping was so beautiful. The massive front doors opened, and we walked inside.“Prince Jarren.” A man said with a bow. “Miss.” He then said with another bow.“Hello, Conrad. This is Jillie, Jillie, that’s Conrad.” Jarren introduced us.“Nice to meet you,” I told him with a smile.
Jarren’s POV I laughed at her. I couldn’t help it. She shot me a look, and it made me laugh harder. She was so cute when she was trying to be mad. In one quick motion, I had her on my back. She let out a surprised shriek.“Don’t do that,” she said, hitting me on the back. “I need a warning before you use your vampire super speed on me.”I laughed. “Alright, hold on. There’s your warning.” With that said, I ran out of the room. I felt her grip tighten around me, but she didn’t shriek this time. In about five seconds, we were at the front door
Jillie’s POV That sickening flower smell came back. Don’t get me wrong. I loved the scent of flowers, but this was overdoing it. I looked at everyone else at the table, and they gave the waiter their orders. How did they not smell this? It was so strong that it was making my headache come back. I looked down at the table as the menus were gathered, and the waiter left. For some reason, my eyes kept coming back to Jarren’s water. Something flashed before my eyes, and I blinked it away. It happened again. What was going on? Then all of a sudden, I saw something unfold right before my e
