ill fated love

Daphne's POV

The tears fell so quickly that I didn't have any other way of stopping them. I really wanted them to stop, I wanted it to stop trailing down my face, but I just couldn't do that.

My heart ached, so bad that I wasn't so sure I was going to stay the night alone, I had tried, so difficult to come up with somewhere to go, I could afford a suite, the best out there, or a penthouse, anyone I wanted, but I didn't want to do that.

I inched for a hug, one that I hoped I would get from someone who would understand me. I eased my foot on the pedal as I drove down the road when the huge building came to view.

Irene had done a good job, we now had a company of our own, a building with people in it that catered to our event management, and I had read that it was still one of the best.

My phone dinged in my hands, and I clenched it hard when I saw who it was. Lorenzo. The man who loved me to a fault, the one who was ready to do everything for me if I wanted it, he was ready to burn
