Intention

Lorenzo's POV

My hand pulled the fridge inside the study open as I drifted a bottle of fresh juice at her. “Father doesn't know that I am here.” That had to be it because if he did, he wouldn't have wanted her out of his sight. Three days wasn't far away, and he wouldn't want to lose any time that he had.

“Did you find him? Jack?” Her hands closed around the bottle as our eyes met, breath sizzling through the air.

My throat felt stuffed as I tried to breathe.

“No, I have my men on it, but there is no news yet, we have to get you out of here. The helicopter should be here any minute soon, and you will leave with it, once you are settled in. I will come visit you soon”.

She bit on her lips, nodding numbly before she threw her hands around me. “Thank you” a tear soaked my shoulders and I held her close. My hand wrangled her closer.

“I am glad that I have you as a sibling, although you can be annoying most times”
