Chapter 102

Mrs. Clemon turned to face Nathan just as the call ended and notice his face was contorted into that of rage. She knew Hilda's illness wasn't just an accident. She was about to ask Nathan for an explanation as to why Hilda was in a wheel chair when her husband spoke up.

"From her voice, I could tell she is a little timid." He had been sitting on the sofa all the while the call was on going. Although he had wanted to meet Hilda too, as a senior as he is, he knew a call wouldn't be the right platform.

Nathan relaxed his brows after he heard his dad.

"Nathan what happened to her? She was in the hospital and in a wheel chair?" Mrs. Clemon asked confused.

Nathan bit on his teeth so hard that one could hear the sound of his teeth's grinding. "I was careless and she ended up being a target of an assassination. She did survive but her legs..."

Mr. Clemon and his wife couldn't believe what they heard. What did Nathan mean by he was careless? Is she like that because of him?
