Sariel's point of view

My lips trembled with panic as I gasped, "Hello? Is there anybody over there?" Undoubtedly, this is not a nightmare. I pinched myself and applied more pressure to my skin, feeling the discomfort. It's not a nightmare, I guess. Once I'm at the edge of the terrace, I look down to see if anything is inside, but nothing is noticeable. Since I'm having trouble falling asleep, perhaps it's just my imagination.

I took a deep breath and decided to head back inside. But before I knew what was going on, the hairs on the back of my neck stood up, and I noticed a shadow emerging from my left side. My eyes widened in shock, and I almost screamed, but managed to hold it back. My legs started to tremble. I didn't know what to do. Should I jump off the terrace? But that's the last thing I wanted to do. The shadow was slowly approaching me, and I was still in shock.

"You think you can escape from me, Sariel? You have to pay for what your guys did to me and Murphy," said

Sariel's point of view The light of dawn kissed my cheeks as it streamed through my room's window. Since Astrella got me to sleep last night, I felt really happy today. She genuinely stayed up until I dozed off. I don’t know if I could have survived sleeping in a stranger’s house alone. I took a deep breath and got up. I still need to talk to Astrella; it would be rude to decline her offer of her book. They’ve already done so much by letting me stay here. She’s really kind. I also need to meet with Maddy to begin what my dear uncle has ordered me to do. I went to the bathroom to get ready. After I finished, I hesitated about whether I should go out or wait for someone to call me. But it would be embarrassing to act like a señorita here. After turning the doorknob to open the door, I paused to look outside to see if anyone was there or if an assistant was on their way. However, I didn’t see anyone. Good Lord, I might get lost in this place if I go sneaking around. Moreover, I ha

Sariel's point of view I feel terrible that I took something important from him. As I looked at him, I took a deep breath. He is still exquisite, as his appearance hasn’t changed. Five days feels like almost five years to me. And now he’s close by, but I can’t seem to get in touch with him. I hope this isn't our last meeting. I just need to talk to him. I told myself I would return the folder, but it seems like I won't be able to. I don't think I can even go back to his penthouse. "So, this is Maddox Ventura, babe," she says suddenly, then motions for Maddox to shake my hand. "Maddox, this is my best friend, Sariel," she says, then gently pushes me toward Maddy. I turned to glare at her. This brat. If I didn’t already know Maddy, I would probably be thrilled. But since I know him, I think it's not excitement I’m feeling right now, but anxiety. "Yeah, I know her very well," he says flatly, staring at me with a blank expression. I swallowed hard when I met his gaze. Is he mad at m

Maddox's point of view I didn't expect to see Sariel today. Bellatrix, Chandler's fiancée, mentioned that she would meet someone, and I had no idea it would be Sariel. I miss her so much. However, I’m showing a different attitude towards her; I don't want to draw attention to myself just yet. But later, I’ll talk to her. I haven't asked her about the document she stole from me since I've been busy these past few days and almost forgot about it. Chandler and I have been busy with work at the company. He has been going back and forth to the Philippines. I even told him he could stay in one of my houses, but he has some matters to attend to in Italy. We are currently in a meeting with the board members, and it's almost done. I've wanted to step out for a while now. "Hey, do you think it's all good now?" Chandler suddenly asks, causing me to blink in surprise. I glare at him, and he raises his eyebrows. "What?" he asks. I ignore his question. "Yeah, it's all been satisfactory

☞ THE PRESENT DAY, in relation to Chapter 5, which happened six months ago ☜ Sariel's Point of View Six months had gone by since that terrible day, and everything had changed. Thinking back, I stood at the brink of Jungle K. Reflecting on the path that had brought me here, I once enjoyed this spot. There are a lot of changes here. They even added a barn. I can see the horse from where I'm standing inside the stable. A week has passed, and I miss my mother so much. I think I've only spoken to her once this week. Maddox is still enraged at me. Well, we're back to being strangers. We all are. No matter what I say or how I explain myself, they still don’t believe me. So, why waste my precious breath? A long, heavy sigh escaped my lips. If I could make one wish, it would be to improve myself. I can't decide whether to end my crazy existence or keep going. Now that everyone has left me, I'm completely alone. Meli, my best friend, and I had no communication the day before the accident.

Sariel's Point of View “You better shut that little mouth before I put it to work,” he hissed. I thought, sure, I’ll be quiet. Wow, huh? It’s like it’s my fault for being noisy. I wish he hadn’t called me here in the first place, you know? “Why did you call me?” I ask as I sit in the chair across from his desk. He cleared his throat before answering my question. “Well, my parents are holding an upcoming fundraiser at Ventura’s company. Since they’re not here, I’ll be taking over. The fundraiser is next month. So, be prepared; I’m not going to accept ‘no’ as an answer,” he declares, tapping his fingers on the table. I trace his hand and let out a deep sigh. This Maddog really loves ordering me around. I honestly want to leave this place since I'm so bored of being stuck here. “Okay, I wouldn’t refuse anyway because I’d love to get out of this hell,” I snap back at him. He raises an eyebrow at me. Wow, even our Maddog here is getting feisty with the eyebrow raises. “Maybe you sho

Sariel's point of view It's chilly in here. On my forehead, I am beginning to feel dread. I need a thicker comforter. As I prepare to stand up, I hear a rustling sound coming from the bathroom. Wait. At this moment, I am the only person present in the room. How is that even possible? Is there a cockroach inside? If there is, I'm terrified of it. But I have to get up and look for a blanket. Ignoring the rustling, I head toward the closet. But before I can open the closet, I hear another rustling, and this time it's different, like someone is in there, not just a cockroach. A chill runs through my veins, and my heart leaps into my throat as I reach for the vase. But it's too late. I feel the cold, hard barrel of a gun pressed against my temple. "Do you think you can play princess here?" the man rasps, his voice filled with cruel familiarity. "So, you and that Ventura are lovers, huh?" My Tito Finn, the one and only, is here. How did he get in? Maddox has increased security, so

Sariel's point of view The memory of my father's murder haunts me like a horrific nightmare, making it impossible to open my eyes and escape the darkness that threatens to consume me. It is painful to see him caught in the crossfire. My uncle laughed at us as if we weren't related, as if we weren't even part of the same family. I keep having the same dream over and over again whenever I get sick. Maddox is about halfway through my thoughts, and my eyes begin to well up with tears. He consistently speaks to me in a manner that has the power to shatter me into a million pieces. The words he utters every second, every minute, and every hour leave me speechless. He never fails to remind me, always saying, "Given that, I would love to see your pain. That is something I will do everything in my power to ensure happens. You will experience the same suffering I did when my parents passed away. It is my goal to bring you down with me." How can he hurt me with his words, yet at the same ti

Sariel's Point of View After the event, we headed to Owen's mansion to celebrate his mother's birthday. He really wanted to bring us all along. I wasn’t planning to join, but I had no choice—Maddox might drag me there if I try to back out. "Sariel, do you want to ride with me?" Owen asked. I was about to answer, but someone wrapped an arm around my waist. I frowned because I already knew who it was. "She's coming with me," Maddox cooed. Owen raised his hands in surrender. "Fine, she's all yours," Owen chuckled and then went to his car. "Let's go," Maddox snapped, then led the way to his car. "It's okay if I don't join. I can just take a taxi back home," I suggested, hoping he'd agree. But I must've made a mistake because it seemed like I just ignited the fire inside him. He clenched his jaw and exclaimed, "Shut up, or else I'm going to keep you at the opposite side of my car, in the trunk, if you mention coming home one more time." Okay, fine, Maddog clearly doesn't jo

Sariel's Point of View Everything is going smoothly, but when Maddox stormed into my house one day, it felt like we were back to our usual arguments. "Wow, I thought we already discussed this. Apparently, it wasn’t enough. What more do you want?" "Yeah, I thought so too. But you know what? I’ve been waiting for you to tell me that Mason is my son, but you didn’t. When do you plan to inform me? When he’s older and doesn’t even know me as his father?" He spat, his words cutting deep. I froze, unable to respond immediately. I didn’t expect him to find out like this—I wanted to be the one to tell him. I was just waiting for the right time. But now, his timing felt like lightning, striking too fast. I took a deep breath and looked at him. Fortunately, my son wasn’t home; he was out with my mom. "So? Can we talk calmly?" I asked, tilting my head. "I am calm!" he yelled, and I raised my brows at him. "Then why are you yelling?" "I'm not." "Are you?" "Okay, I’m

Third Person's Point of View As Lowe, Mason, and Sariel finished their meal, Sariel's son excused himself to go to the bathroom. Lowe and Sariel offered to accompany him, but Mason confidently said he could manage on his own. See? Sariel's little boy is becoming quite independent. Sariel let him go, knowing she could still see him heading toward the restroom. After all, this is a luxurious restaurant, and Sariel doesn’t expect any trouble in such a place. Lowe, however, had already spotted his brother and was carefully hiding his expression to keep Sariel from noticing. If Sariel discovered the truth, she would undoubtedly confront him. Initially, Lowe had promised not to meddle in their situation. But after seeing the undeniable longing between Sariel and his brother, Lowe decided it was time to step in. Meanwhile, Mason was already in the bathroom. After finishing up, he stepped out of a cubicle, feeling a little jumpy from all the delicious food he had eaten. On his wa

Sariel's Point of View After all the events, I continued to contemplate my next course of action. I didn’t answer my son’s question properly, and I don’t want to lie to him either. I need to talk to Lowe. I know he’s here since he followed me back to the Philippines after my flight. I was about to call Lowe, but luck seemed to be on my side; he was already calling me. I swiped to answer, placed the phone to my ear, and walked back to my room. I had just checked on my son, who was still asleep. It’s Sunday today, and later in the afternoon, we’re planning to visit Sister Jane. “Hey, what’s up?” Lowe greeted. I opened the door, pushed it closed with my foot, and headed to my bed to settle in. I let out a deep sigh. What do I even tell him? “What’s going on? Your sigh was so heavy I could feel it from here. Is it a big problem?” he exclaimed, laughing loudly on the other end. I snorted, rolling my eyes even though he couldn’t see it. “Can you stop laughing and just help me?”

Sariel's Point of View After six years, my son has grown up, and my mother and I have raised him in the United States. My uncle's arrest six years ago led to the return of the company to us. We owe our lawyer a great deal for making that happen. Now, after all these years, I find myself feeling a mix of emotions. For those six years, I entrusted the company to someone reliable, so I had no worries. However, now the company urgently needs me, and I have no choice but to return to the Philippines with my mother and son. As soon as we arrived, I dove straight into managing the business. I'm currently in traffic on my way to pick up my son from school. I sighed and drummed my fingers on the steering wheel, feeling anxious. I couldn’t help but worry that he might end up waiting in the shed alone, even though there are guards around. He seems to have inherited my stubbornness. Of all traits, it had to be that one. After a few minutes, the traffic eased, and I continued drivi

  • Billionaire's Tale of Retaliation [English Version]   Ch. 85: Amsterdam

Sariel's Point of View To escape everything happening in the Philippines, my mother and I decided to settle in Amsterdam and bought property there. Now, we live in Amsterdam, where I can begin to heal the wounds in my heart. I keep myself occupied by creating whatever I want—cakes, cookies, and other treats. We own a small bakery, and though it’s modest, people love it and truly enjoy my baked goods. But one thing troubles me: a month after I found out I was pregnant, I felt pleased knowing Maddox is the father. However, I plan to keep this a secret from him because of the hatred he harbors for me and his constant belief in revenge. I began feeling symptoms but ignored them, thinking I was simply worn out from baking. However, when it became too much, I finally went for a check-up with my mom. The result of this pregnancy came from that night when we lost control. I wanted it, so I don’t regret this blessing. I placed my hand on my growing belly and gently caressed it

  • Billionaire's Tale of Retaliation [English Version]   Chapter 84: Runaway

Sariel's Point of View I dialed my mother's number. By the second ring, she picked up. "Hello, dear? Have you decided what to do?" she greeted. "Yup. Ready to kidnap me?" I playfully chuckled to myself. "Right away. Wait for me," she chirped, and the call ended. I made sure to leave behind the less important items and bring only the essentials. I only brought one backpack. I didn’t want it to look obvious that I was running away. Hopefully, they'd assume I was just making a quick trip to Jungle K. I’ll miss this place so much. When my phone beeped and I saw my mother's text messages, I cautiously and silently walked around the back of the house, being careful not to draw attention. They were still in the living room. Mommy is not far away waiting for me; she just booked a grab for our transpo. We’d stop briefly at Daddy’s grave to say goodbye. Upon exiting the house, I exhaled with a sense of relief. Thank goodness they didn’t notice me. I sprinted as quickly

Sariel's Point of View I simply approached them and took a seat across from Maddox. I didn’t even glance at the woman who had been staring at me since she turned to look earlier. Great, do I look ugly to her now? My eyes are still swelling. Maddox didn’t seem to mind, though. My stomach felt more sour as I stared at the prepared dishes. My gaze shifted to Maddox when he started talking. "This is Winona, Sariel, and that's Sariel." He gestured back and forth between me and Winona. "Winona will be staying here for a while. Meli and Aster are still in Cebu, so no one can stay with her. I just can’t let her stay alone in the hotel. "She's just here for a vacation," he explained. I shrugged, not really caring if she stayed or not. It’s his house anyway. "Sure, nice meeting you. Feel free to roam around as you wish. Just don’t mind me." I looked up at Winona and smiled. Gosh, she just smiled back. "Thank you, Sariel. Nice meeting you, too. I hope we can be friends." She beamed

Sariel's Point of View The open floor-to-ceiling windows make me wake up as the sun rises, hitting my face. I grab my head. Damn. What a hell of a hangover. This is definitely the last time I drink. Yeah, it’s always the "last," but I never stick to it. I yawn and hug the guy next to me even tighter. It feels like I’m still dreaming. Why do I smell the perfume of Maddox the great? I open my eyes and start to feel my body. Damn, I move slightly and feel pain in my core. Gosh, I’m not dreaming anymore. I’m in reality. "Ha! Woah, you still don’t have any shame on you, do you?" I jump when the guy suddenly speaks. I look up at him, and my eyes widen even more. I shrieked and got up, pulling the duvet to cover my naked body, but then I realized that we are still both naked under the thick duvet. "What did you do to me? I thought I was with a different man. I didn't expect that... It's you," I murmur after. "Yeah? You didn't realize? Would you like me to provide further details

Sariel's point of view I moistened my lips, then stammered out a weak, "Thank you. You can make it much harder. Let's proceed to the final phase of the encounter. Let me squirt around your cock." Then, he carefully strips, exposing his chest; after that, his pants and garments exposed his large cock in front of me, and he affectionately stroked it, making me feel nervous. I can't believe it. He was so huge and thick that I worried about whether or not he would be able to fit inside of me. "Holy mother, fuck. The size of yours is really huge. I'm going to run for my life right now." As I snicker, my arousal is palpable, and my pússy is already itching just from looking at it. "It can fit, baby. Let me stretchsexize you to fit it," he snorted, grinning at me. "stretchsexize? What do you mean?" I asked, and my brows snapped together in confusion. "Yup, stretchsexize. Let me stretch you for exercise from the tip of my cock, and then I can fully enter you," he deadpanned, licking his
