Ch. 19: Journal

Sariel's point of view

I woke up because I felt someone staring at me, and when I opened my eyes, I met the eyes of the person I adore. Just kidding, no flirting right now! I'm still hungover from what happened last night. He was just staring at me, as if I'd disappear if he blinked. I snapped my fingers in front of his face, and he blinked twice.

"Good morning! I had a good sleep," I beamed excitedly, acting like I didn't have a terrible dream last night. It’s one of my quirks, pretending nothing terrible happened. A line appeared between his brows.

"Are you sick?" He raised his eyebrows at me, looking at me as if he couldn't believe how I was acting now, given that last night I was on the verge of fainting.

"Nope. I'm perfectly fine," I said as I got up. I forgot that I was wearing his long-sleeve shirt, and I wasn't wearing a bra or pants. He quickly looked away.
