Jill

----

Walking into the large New York City hospital, Jace and I hurried to the elevator after he had done some things at the reception, and headed to his mom's room.

To be honest, I was almost as fearful as Jace was. The old woman only left for the hotel the night before, so how in the world did she get a quick accident? Or did something go wrong?

With a great deal of worry, Jace walked out of the elevator, and walked unsteadily in the hallway his mom's room was.

"What happened Baek Chin Ju? You guys only left my place yesterday. How did she get to have an accident?" He asked the Asian looking lady who stood in front of a well furnished door, and looked equally concerned.

She sighed, "I don't know sir. Last night, I went to get some of the things we needed to use for our work. And when I got to her hotel room this mor

Jace sat on his mom's bed, staring at her sleeping body and holding her hands in his. "When will she be fine?" He asked the middle aged doctor who did some things to her skin."She's fine right now." The doctor told him. "All that's needed is for her to regain consciousness. She's suffering from shock, and she has an injury in her head. It's an internal injury. But thank God it wasn't too late before she was brought to the hospital. If she came here later, there's a probability that she could have lost her life."I turned to Jace who fretted more and ran his hands through his hair. "This is really bad. Are you sure she won't be affected anymore?"The doctor smiled at him. "I'm very sure. There's no need for you to worry at all. She'll be completely fine.""Alright. Thanks." He said to the doctor. The doctor stopped doing whatever he was doing, and set his gaze at Jace

JACE-------"I'm sorry for all these Brittany. I've been quite busy at home, so I've not had time to work. Can you please do something about the work I've missed?" I spoke to my secretary over the phone. She let out a shaky sigh, and cleared her throat. "Alright sir. But I've kind of been working extra hours.""That's not a problem at all. In fact, I'll pay you double of your salary this month. I can understand how well you're working. Thanks so much." I assured her."Oh thank you sir." Her tired voice suddenly boomed into agitation. "I'll ensure I do all the work. Thanks again.""Goodnight then. See you anytime soon." I hung up the phone call.I grabbed my laptop, and tried to work again. But before I could, someone knocked on my study room door, and I sighed on knowing that it was Jill again. "Come in,"

JACE-------Patiently waiting for Owen in my study room, I worked on my laptop. I went through the files Brittany had sent to me, and tried to focus on it. To be honest, I couldn't concentrate on work for some reason. All I knew was that I could feel a little nervousness within me. And why was that? Not wanting to think about it any further, I decided to walk out of the room. Maybe I'd feel better if I had fun with Jill. And Liam too.About to step out, I halted as someone was about to step in as well. I almost bumped into the person, but thankfully, I stopped walking before it could happen."Hey." I breathed out, feeling a little relief to see my brother. Finally. He smiled. And observing the smile on his face, I sensed that it was fake. "You're okay?" I was forced to ask him.He sighed, "can

Jill asked me the same question, reminding me that I had to say something.I gulped in hard, and bit my tongue as I knew nothing to say. Did she seriously hear me speak to Xander? "I was— calling someone. And– and why do you care?" I stuttered, immediately regretting that I did."Are you the one doing all this?" She narrowed her eyes at me, her face suddenly pale, and her eyes watering for an unknown reason. What the heck? Was our family issues her problem?"What the heck are you speaking of?" I chuckled nervously."You know what I'm saying, woman!" She hollered, so loudly, and gripped my arm. "Did you hurt that poor woman? Are you the attacker?"I scoffed, jolti

JACE-------I stared at Jill as she laid on her bed, unconscious. At this point, I was almost dying. I was just so sick of everything going on around me. How could my life become so terrible?I scanned my eyes to her lap, and I immediately averted from looking at it. I remembered how she bled the previous night, and the thought of that was so scary. Very scary. "Is my mom okay?" I heard Liam's voice from behind me, and that made my heart skip a beat. What would I tell the young boy?I turned to the direction of his voice, and pulled a fake smile when I sighted him. "Come here boy." I said.He lurched to me, his eyes already drowned in tears, and his body obviously shivering. "What happened to my mommy?" He asked. "She hasn't woken up since last night.""She'll be fine," I smiled wider, wanting to make him feel better. "It's ju

Trisha held her red cheek, gawking in disbelief of what I just did to her. But although she looked so shocked, I cared less. She deserved it. She even deserved more. A terrible human like her didn't deserve anything good."You— you hit me?" She stuttered, gulping as her lips moved unstably. "How can you hit me? Have you forgotten who I am? I'm Trisha. I'm your wife. The lady you love.""Love?" I moved closer to her, and yanked at her arm again. "This isn't love. This is blindness. Blindness in the sense that I haven't been seeing all my suffering. As for you, this is lust. Our relationship is filled with hatred, lust, betrayal. It's nothing close to being love." I lamented.A tear dropped from her eye, and she sobbed. "But still, how can you slap me? Have you forgotten that you're a calm and dumb husband who reacts to nothing? Have you forgotten who you are?"I glared harder, shutti

"So is there any other thing I'll need to do?" I asked my lawyer for the second time, grinning at him like I just won a competition. He gave me a small smile, and began to arrange the papers he had in his hands. "Not at all. Since the divorce was done really early, I'll just have to submit it to the court. It'll be finalized by tomorrow morning. And since your wife has also signed it, there'll be no issue at all," he explained. As he said that, my grin grew wider. "So does it mean that I'm officially divorced? Does it mean that I'm no longer married to— to that woman?" I seriously had to reconfirm. He sighed, seeming like I was being disturbing. "Yes sir. You are now a divorcee. You're back to being a bachelor." He assured me."Yes!" I uncontrollably rejoiced. It still felt so much like a dream. A dream that always felt like it wasn't going to come true.&nb

Jill—–As Jace kissed me, tears uncontrollably rolled down my cheeks. How did it happen? How did he get to like me? It all didn't make any sense. It was just too quick. How did it become possible? When I realized my feelings for him, I made sure I didn't express it. I tried so much to not act weird so he wouldn't be suspicious in any way. So how in the world did he get to like me back? With so much force, I jerked my lips from his, and turned away from looking at him, panting so heavily. "What?" He sounded quite flirting again. "You know you can't complain that I'm married. You have no excuse to not get close to me right now. And as a fact, I know that you love me too. Why the pretence?"What the heck? How did he know that?I slowly turned to face him, my eyes filled in tears, and my eyebrows curving into a frown.

  • Billionaire's Surrogate   Epilogue

Three years later…Jill——"Common!" Jace cried from our bed, groaning at himself.I turned to look at him, and shot him a playful glare. "Are you serious? Just get you damn ass off here."He rolled his eyes, and jumped from the bed. And as he sauntered to me, my eyes glued to his sharp, rock abs, that lined so much as his shirt glued to his body. Moving my eyes down to his lap, I noticed that his cock was crying for help, standing so firm under his sweatpants. I hissed at him, and returned to staring at the mirror."You had better go to the bathroom," I teased, slipping my robe off. "Today's Shanice wedding, so I need to leave early. There's no time for that.""Just for a few minutes. It'll be a quickie," he continued to convince me.I grumbled. And before I

Wandering in front of the door of the hospital room Jill was, I worried so much, being really unstable. I couldn't think of anything to do, or didn't know how to react. What if Trisha sent someone to poison Jill just like she had poisoned her boyfriend? My mom walked to me, looking equally worried. "My boy," she called, and took my hands in hers. "Let's be hopeful. Nothing will go wrong with her. She'll be fine."I nodded my head even though I was still doubtful. I couldn't have any hope at the moment because I was the only one around who knew how bad Trisha was."Ok." I inhaled deeply. "I'll try to be hopeful. At least, it's not like I've got any other choice.""Good then." She smiled weakly, and walked back to Jill's mom who was crying already. Why was she crying? It wasn't even like Jill was dead.Seeing how fearful everyone was, I became more angry, then stomped to the

It was exactly eight minutes to twelve o'clock. I hurried out of my car, and rushed out of the parking lot in the church, not even waiting for my bouncers to reach me first. On getting to the front door of the church, I sighted Jill and her mother, and that made me so relieved. To be sincere, I had been thinking about Trisha's threat all along. What if she was actually going to do something again? But well, now that I had seen that Jill was fine, there was no need to worry."Dude you're late!" Ace complained, walking fast to me. "Jill's been so worried. What happened? The final trial wasn't supposed to take that long."I shut my eyes, then exhaled loud. And opening it, it met Jill's. Shit, I didn't want her to see me."Jace!" She cried, holding her long gown, and stomping to me. I was almost lost in noticing how beautiful she was, but I decided to not pay attention to that. I was too late

  • Billionaire's Surrogate   Eighty six: Final Judgement

Three months later…"Mr. Flores!" Brittany barged into my office, holding a bunch of files in her hands, and rushing to my table. "The final judgement on the Miss Maxwell case is only in thirty minutes! You've got to get to the court soon!""What?! Thirty minutes?!" I hopped from my seat, and slammed my palm against my office desk. "How come you didn't tell me? Jeez, you've not been doing your job so well.""Me?" She bulged her eyes out at me, sounding quite informal. "I've come here to remind you, for the fourth time now. I even got to work by six, in order to ensure you don't miss it.""Oh shit!" I hit my fist against the table. "How'll I get there in the next thirty minutes?"She creased her face, seeming quite infuriated. "Hum, I think you'll get there sooner, if you stop speaking.""Are you shunning me?" I raised an eyebrow at me.

I shoved the thick white towel I had used to dry my hair, on my neck, and ran my fingers through my wet hair. Wrapping another towel around my naked waist, I stepped out of the bathroom. As soon I stepped into the room of the hotel I was, the first thing my eyes caught was Jill. She was sitting on the bed, tugging her knees to her chest, and digging her head in between them.I breathed out via my mouth, and walked to her. She had been crying since I told her Trisha killed her friend. I tried to console her so much, but she didn't want to stop crying. I also made love to her a few minutes ago, expecting her to feel relief, but instead, she cried more. What could I do?"Jill." I sat on the space beside her on the bed.As soon as she heard my voice, she flinched, and rubbed her face, not looking at me in the eye. "You're done bathing?" She asked.I soothed th

Unable to get my eyes off the screen, I unknowingly pinched the skin of my hand. It still seemed like some kind of weird dream. I had watched it for the third time, but still, I was doubting what I was seeing."Sir," the monitor guy called, causing me to jerk from my seat to turn to him. "You— you've been watching it for a while now. Don't you think you should give the footage to the police, already?"I shot him a glare, which made him avert from looking into my eyes. "Is it your problem?" I questioned him, harshly, even though I knew he was right. Well, I couldn't be blamed for my cruelty. I was in a state of shock. To aggravate my shock, not only did I discover that Trisha killed the guy who was her boyfriend. I also discovered that she was the one who killed Jill's friend. I couldn't even think of how Jill would react if she found out about it.Trisha was indeed a terrible person. Like

I stared at the investigators as they scrutinized the room the culprit had died. It was almost eleven in the night, but I wanted to make sure to get what I needed to before day break. To be honest, I was so tired already, but I just couldn't risk my work, so I had to stay awake.I had bought this hotel a few weeks back, although it wasn't important to have it. I particularly bought it so Jill and I would spend the first day of our future honeymoon here. It was a decent and serene place for couples to relax in. The views from the balconies were so good, and I could tell that Jill would love it so much. I guessed I bought the place for her."Mr. Flores," someone called my name from behind.I exhaled faintly, and turned to the direction of the voice. As expected, it was one of the investigators. "Yes?" I replied. He walked closer to me, using a hanky to hold an empty glass cup. "Sir&he

  • Billionaire's Surrogate   Eighty two: Phone call

Jace——Working on my laptop, I sat on my bed, and grabbed my phone to call my secretary. Shortly, I dialed her number, and waited for her to answer her phone as it rang."Hello sir. Good evening," she greeted, sounding quite grumpy. Ok, I could understand why she'd be grumpy. It was Sunday, and I was about to ask her to work?"I'm so sorry Brit," I apologized first, smiling at the tiredness in her voice. It was the first time I heard her sound so apathetic over the phone. Brittany was a really hard working person, and I so much liked her for it. Although I called her by her first name, I still gave her the full respect she deserved. I just wasn't used to being so formal with people I always stayed around with. It was one of the reasons I asked Jill to call me Jace, instead of Mr. Flores."There's no problem sir. What do you need?
