The room seemed to close in on D'Andre as he contemplated the tangled web of secrets and half-truths he'd unwittingly woven. His friends' scrutiny, the weight of their suspicions, and the potential consequences of his actions swirled around him, leaving him with a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach.

"See, see, always with the 'see.' When are you all going to stop talking at the same time?" D'Andre retorted, his voice tinged with a hint of exasperation. He leaned back in his swivel chair, undoing the buttons on his sleeves as his racing pulse gradually steadied.

"When you stop your nonsense," Castor replied, his brows furrowing as he shot a pointed look at D'Andre.

"Nonsense? Nonsense like being with my daughter?" D'Andre shot back, his eyes narrowing as he gazed at his friends.

"I don't know. But it might be better if you and Maiari sort things out," Castor suggested, tapping his fingers rhythmically on the edge of the table.

"What about us? She's the one who left me, remember?
