Chapter 79 "The Mess In Desmond"

Eric sat in front of his desk in his office. The bruise on his cheek and the cut on his lips are still visible. While sitting, Eric recalled the time he saw how Lance hugged Jane.

An immense strength settled in his fists which were on the table.

‘Lance really likes her,’ Eric thought.

He grew up with Lance. Eric knew that Lance wasn't interested in dating . But this is the first time he saw Lance’s gaze towards Jane.

“That person won’t stop until he gets what he wants,” Eric said the bitter truth. The truth which made him envious to Lance.

Lance has the courage to follow his heart.

Deep inside, Eric wanted to be like Lance. This inferiority complex is what made him despise his competitor.

“Why am I thinking about this?” Eric asked himself before he roughly washed his face with his dried palms.

Instead of worrying about the painful one-sided love he has for the mother of his child, Eric knew that he had to focus on solving the problem about his rumor and the investor he beat.
