Chapter 46 "The Woman Cyrus Likes"

Eric is sensitive to sounds.

Therefore, when he heard the faint sound outside his room, he woke up but stayed on his bed while looking at the ceiling.

He knew that it was Jane, who was preparing early in the kitchen.

He does not want to go out and meet her because, for sure, he might stop her from leaving.

Eric stayed awake until Byron came inside to fetch Jane.

When the surroundings became quiet, Eric went out of the room. He went to the kitchen to drink water and quench his thirst. Actually, he’s been thirsty since the moment he woke up, but he endured it.
