Chapter 129 "Lance Does Not Want To Regret"

Sweat mixed with the chilling air trickled down Eric’s face. He’s been going around for ages trying to look for Jane and Lance.

His feet had been worn out from running here and there, and he felt like lying down on the dirty ground for a bit. However, Eric won’t dare rest, not until he finds Jane. He thought that wasting even a second would kill him!

He blamed himself for taking his eyes off her and letting her walk around the forest.

Now, even if his throat hurts so bad for shouting for her name, Eric drew another breath and shouted loudly.

“Jane!”

His eyes loosened a bit. He is surprised that the echo which has been following his voice before has stopped.

‘The echo stopped,’ he thought while looking around. ‘Was it really my echo or a ghost?’

Eric shook his head and sighed. Once he focused on Jane, his imagination started to turn worse. What if Jane fell on the cliff? What if she was crying out there in fear? Or, what if she encountered a wild animal?
