(Allison's POV)

I stepped out of the car when I arrived at Scott's residence. The weekend was over, and it was time to take Liam back home. I could have asked Scott to bring him, but with Stefan still in California, I needed to be cautious—I don't know when he might show up at my doorstep.

"Mummy!" Liam rushed into my arms as Scott opened the door for me.

"How has my son been?" I asked, hugging him tightly. I had missed him so much that I kept praying for the weekend to be over, just so I could have him back home.

"Mummy, I can't breathe," he struggled to say, and I quickly stopped hugging him, caressing his cheek as excitement surged through me.

"I missed you so much, Liam," I said, playing with his cheeks.

"I missed you too, Mummy. But Daddy took care of me. He brought lots of storybooks for me. He also built a huge castle with me, and we played lots of games together. I even ate my favorite chocolates and ice cream," Liam said, smiling with every word that left his mout

(Allison's POV) I wished this was just my imagination. I wished it was merely a hallucination that my family had seen me hugging Scott, but it wasn’t imagination, nor was I hallucinating. “What’s going on here?” Aunt Hilda asked, trying hard not to believe what she had just witnessed. I quickly rushed to her. “Aunt Hilda, I can explain—” My words were cut short by a slap from her, while Alex rushed to Scott and, with fury in his eyes, punched him in the face. Liam, who had seen it all, quickly got down from the mini car he had been playing with. “Aunt Hilda, why did you slap my Mummy? Uncle Alex, why did you slap my Daddy?” Liam asked, unaware that he was only adding fuel to the fire. Aunt Hilda and Alex gave me a disappointing look after Liam called Scott his Daddy. My heart ached as they stared at me. “Aunt—” I began, tears streaming down my face, but Aunt Hilda cut me off. “I don’t want to hear anything, Allison!” she yelled. I could see the tears threatening to spill from

(Allison’s POV)“I’m pregnant.” Those were the words I had rehearsed in my mind over and over again as I anxiously waited for Scott to arrive at the coffee shop where I’d asked him to meet me. Scott and I had been together for two years now. He wasn’t just my boyfriend—he was my best friend, my lover, my greatest support. He’d always showered me with affection, making me feel like I was the only woman in the world. It was one of the things I loved most about him. That’s why I was so beyond excited to share the news of my pregnancy with him. I knew he’d be thrilled. He has to be. And maybe, just maybe, he’d finally put a ring on my finger. The thought of marrying Scott and waking up beside him every morning, seeing his handsome face—his chiseled jaw, and striking blue eyes,—had always felt like a dream come true. I loved him deeply, and I’d always believed he loved me just as much.“Allie.”His voice—deep, familiar, and steady—broke into my thoughts, snapping me back to reality. My he

(Allison's POV) For a few minutes, I just stared at Scott, unable to believe those words actually came out of his mouth. Was this really the same man who once promised to love me for eternity? Tears blurred my vision, streaking down my face and washing away my carefully applied makeup. My heart ached as if it had been pierced with a knife, but I clung to the hope that this was just some cruel joke. Surely, the man who’d once showered me with so much love couldn’t say something so heartless. “Tell me you’re joking, Scott,” I whispered, my voice breaking as I struggled to hold back sobs. My words seemed to catch the attention of other customers in the coffee shop. Heads turned, eyes watching, but I didn’t care. None of it mattered—not the stares, not the murmurs. All I wanted was for Scott to tell me that what he just said wasn’t true. For a moment, I saw something flicker in his eyes, a hint of guilt, maybe. But just as quickly as it appeared, it vanished, leaving only the cold, indi

(Scott's POV) As I watched Allison walk away through the window, heartbroken and scattered, a pang of guilt suffocated me. I had broken her so deeply after promising never to leave her side. The memory of her tear-streaked face haunted me, and I couldn’t shake off the weight of my betrayal. The woman I love was carrying my child. That should’ve been something to celebrate, something to cherish. I wanted to rush to her, pull her into my arms, spin her around, and kiss her as I begged her to marry me. But I couldn’t. I had made a choice—a selfish choice. If my father discovered I got a woman pregnant, the opportunity he reluctantly gave to me would be gone in an instant. My father hated me. To him, I was nothing more than a mistake—a product of his one-night stand with my late mother, who died giving birth to me. He never saw me as his son, and I grew up believing love was a weakness, something I didn’t need. But that changed the day I met Allison. She showed me what it meant to love

SIX YEARS LATER(Allison's POV)As I stepped out of the airport, a rush of memories flooded back, bringing with them everything I left behind in California six years ago. The sights, sounds, even the scent in the air—it all felt just like yesterday. Nothing had truly changed, yet everything had. California had been my home, a place of both pain and love, and while it was a difficult decision to leave, I knew it had been the right one. Moving away allowed me to heal, to shed old wounds, and to reinvent myself in a way I didn’t think was possible. Now, I was here again, but this time as a successful businesswoman who had risen from the ashes of her past.My journey to success hadn’t been the glamorous kind you see in the movies. It was real, gritty, filled with obstacles that felt insurmountable at times. I had to fight, to push myself harder than I ever thought I could. A small voice snapped me out of my thoughts. "Mummy!" My son’s voice, clear and filled with excitement, brought me b

(Allison's POV) "Allie." A soft shiver ran down my spine as I heard him call me that. It had been six years since he last used that name, and it still sounded so different coming from his lips. I shook my head slightly, reminding myself that this was the man who shattered my heart and nearly ruined me. He stared at me, shock written all over his face. I knew I needed to leave, but as soon as I turned away, Scott rushed forward and grabbed my wrist. His grip was warm—just as it used to be. But I refused to let myself fall for him again. I pulled my hand free. "What do you want?" I asked, feigning ignorance. His jaw dropped slightly, but what did he expect? That I’d fall back into his arms after everything he did to me? "Allie… it’s me, Scott," he said, his voice uncertain, as if I needed reminding who he was—my ex-boyfriend, the man I once loved. "I know it’s you, Scott. But what gives you the right to grab my hand like that?" I replied, my voice sharp. Guilt flickered inside

(Allison's POV) Liam kept grinning at me, waiting for an answer to his question. He was always so eager to know who his dad was, but I always find a way to dodge the topic. I didn’t want to tell Liam about Scott—it would only remind me of the pain he caused and how heartlessly he abandoned me without a second thought. “Is he my daddy?” Liam asked again, his eyes full of hope. My tongue felt tied as I hesitated, still calculating what to say. “Hi, little man, I am your—” “He is not your daddy,” I interrupted Scott sharply. I knew exactly what he was about to say. He’d tell Liam he was his father, forgetting how he never wanted him in the first place. If he had, he wouldn’t have told me to get rid of him when he was still a fetus. Scott shot me a disappointed look, but I glared at him angrily, forcing him to lower his head as the weight of his past words sank in. “I thought he was going to be my daddy. Mommy, when am I going to see my daddy? All my classmates talk about their

(Allison's POV) I came out of Liam's room after he had fallen asleep. He dozed off while I was reading him a storybook. Judging by the cold weather tonight, I bundled him up in a big hoodie. One thing Liam inherited from me was the inability to tolerate cold. "Is Liam asleep already?" Aunt Hilda asked, emerging from the kitchen with a glass of milk. She decided to spend the night at my house after the launch of my clothing line ended. Alex had gone back to school because he needed to prepare for an exam. "Yes, he is," I replied, sitting at the dining table with my arms wrapped around myself for warmth, even though I was wearing a hoodie that practically swallowed me. Aunt Hilda sat in the chair next to me, sipping her milk slowly as she stared at me. "Do you have something to say? You keep staring at me," I asked. "Now that you asked, I'm going to let the cat out of the bag," she said, pausing briefly. "What was Scott doing at your clothing line launch?" she asked suddenly,

(Writer's POV) "Welcome back, ma," the maids greeted as Jenna entered the house, her arms laden with shopping bags. Being bratty as always, Jenna tossed the bags at them carelessly before flopping onto the couch, a smirk forming on her face. "What's with the smile?" Lydia asked, emerging from the kitchen. "There you are, Lydia," Jenna grinned, causing Lydia to furrow her brows in confusion. "Someone looks happy today. What happened?" Lydia asked as she took a seat beside Jenna on the couch. "My plan is finally falling into place," Jenna said excitedly. Lydia raised an eyebrow, looking puzzled. "What plan?" she asked. "Are you suffering from dementia? How can you forget so easily?" Jenna replied, slightly annoyed. "I'm sorry, I don’t remember any plan you told me about." Jenna shot Lydia an irritated glare before smiling again. "Since I'm in a good mood, I’ll tell you all about it." She paused before continuing, "I’m finally friends with Allison." "Allison? The same

(Allison's POV) "Are you sure letting Liam spend the weekend with Scott is a good idea?" Bonnie asked when I told her about Liam's decision the following day at work. "That's what Liam wanted. I couldn't say no to him," I muttered. I did everything I could last night to convince Liam to get down from Scott's car, but he refused, claiming he wanted to see what his daddy's house looked like. So, I gave in to his request. I couldn’t even sleep a wink all night; it was my first time being apart from Liam. "I know you love your son so much, but you don’t always have to agree to everything he says," Bonnie suggested. "I just can’t help it, Bonnie. You know how difficult it was for me to bring him into this world, right? Liam is my source of joy. He’s the reason I didn’t give up and kept striving even when things were tough. Besides, Scott is his dad—he just wants to spend time with him," I explained to Bonnie. "It would've been a different story if your family knew you allowed Scott

(Scott's POV) "Daddy, what's that?" Liam asked excitedly, pointing at the rollercoaster. I had him perched on my shoulders, his enthusiasm radiating through every word. "It's a rollercoaster," I replied with a small smile. "It looks like fun! Can I ride it?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with anticipation. "No, you can't," I said gently. "Why not?" "You're too young for that," I explained. "When you get older, Daddy will let you ride a rollercoaster." "Is that a promise?" His voice brimmed with excitement. When I nodded, he broke into a happy little dance, momentarily forgetting he was on my shoulders. For a five-year-old, he had no idea how heavy he was, but he’s my son—I’d endure it anyways. As for Allison, she hadn’t said much since we got here. She only agreed to come because she’s the kind of mom who’d do anything for her son. But the thought of Stefan being back in California kept gnawing at me. The way he tried to provoke me at the restaurant still lingered i

(Allison's POV) "What are you doing here? No, how did you get into my house?" I demanded, certain that I never gave him the password to my house. "I see you're back from your date," he said, like a husband who had been waiting for his wife to come home. "You haven't answered my question, Scott. How did you get in here?" I asked, walking up to him. "Did you break into my house?" "I am not a thief. Why would I break into your house?" Scott replied, clearly entertained as he continued eating from the bowl of cereal in his hand. "Then tell me how you got in!" I shouted, letting him know I was dead serious. He put the bowl of cereal on the table and stood up, his height towering over me. We were so close that I had to moved back a little. "Tell me how you got in." "Liam helped out," he answered. "Liam? He’s supposed to be in school. So what the heck are you saying?" I asked, anger bubbling within me. Of course, I had to be angry. What if Stefan had come in with me when I

(Allison's POV) Is he crazy? I thought to myself, staring at Scott, who looked deadly serious about what he had just said. Both Bonnie and Peter had surprised looks on their faces as they tried to process why he wanted to join our date. "Boss, I thought you said you had something to attend to?" Peter asked, while Bonnie’s eyes remained fixed on Scott. She had met him but still had no idea he was my ex—the same man she loathed so much. "I changed my mind. I’m going to have lunch with the four of you," he said. With every word that came out of his mouth, his gaze was locked on Stefan’s hand, which was still firmly placed on my waist. I could clearly see the jealousy in his eyes, but I didn’t care. He shouldn’t be part of this date. What if he spilled the truth about having access to being Liam’s father out of jealousy or anger? "I don’t think that will be possible, Scott," I said. At the mention of his name, Bonnie quickly looked at me, wondering if this was the same Scott I h

I don't know why he hates it so much when I call him 'kid brother,'" Bonnie frowned."Or maybe you should stop calling my brother a kid. He's already twenty years old," I teased."He's still a kid to me, Allison. You better tell your brother to get used to it because I am his big sis.""You are just so obsessed with calling Alex your kid brother because you're an only child.""You're right. Should I adopt him so he can accept me as his big sister?" Bonnie asked, and we both laughed at her words. But it's still strange to me why Alex doesn't want Bonnie as his big sister when we all act like a family."So, have you thought of a way to tell your family the truth?" she asked, the smile on her face disappearing as I shook my head.Bonnie let out a deep sigh. (Writer's POV)"Hi Alex, can we eat lunch together?" a young girl, eighteen years old, with honey-colored hair and cute glasses asked Alex, who was seated with his friends inside the classroom. Her smile was innocent, making her look adorable. Her name was Skye, and she was an English student."I'm sorry, Skye, but I have another class to attend," Alex replied, and the cute smile on her face disappeared immediately."Oh, I see," she muttered sadly. One of Alex's friends nudged him. There were three of them in total, and all four shared a room in the boys' dorm."What do you mean you have classes? Our classes ended a few minutes ago. We don't have any classes until tomorrow," Jeremy said, while the rest of his friends nodded in agreement.Alex felt like punching their faces one after the other because they had just ruined his plan. He had lied about having classes because he didn't want to be alone with Skye. He wasn't slow-witted; he knew she liked him. She had followed him around sin
